Finished all my Weeklies, now what?

what they should do is give us daily challenges to keep us coming back worth like 100xp or 50xp and give us weekly’s too but worth way more xp its not hard to do reach even did it for gods sake just increase the BP level to 2000 per level and give us xp like kills holding the objective ETC and give us military ranks

The quote Cartman in make love no warcraft
“What do you mean? Now we can finally play the game.”

I dont get this mentality AT ALL. Like are you playing the game to have fun, or just unlock cosmetics? Cause the game isn’t just cosmetics, like play to have fun, play how you want, not by the restrictions of the weekly challenges? Is the game not fun for you if you’re not achieving some arbitrary goal set by the games developers? Do you need to be told what to do while playing?

I have had teammates who only come in to help the enemy to finish the game as quickly as possible for those 50 points …

No incentive to win …

I don’t get why people are being douchey to OP here.

No, I don’t just play to “unlock dresses”, but I do enjoy cosmetics and I enjoy progression. It’s part of the fun, and it’s been part of the fun since Halo 3. Not being able to customise makes the game less fun. Every single spartan I see looking identical is less fun. Only being able to progress one or two days a week is frustrating, and not fun. Obviously when they take a big step backwards people are going to be put-off and point out the more glaring flaws and frustrating aspects.

And what if he does enjoy unlocking cosmetics?

Is that a problem?

Since you’re having trouble putting two and two together, he enjoys the customization aspect in a video game.

Which is totally fine.

It’s a shame 343i made that the logical and sensible thing for them to do.

I ACTUALLY DID THE WEEKLYTWICE… once and again when they reset it giving away the weekly special to everyone… still not enough…

Yep. If they expect people to pay a subscription fee that is Battlepass, at least make it comparable to what others are doing . The concept is not new. Others have been doing it pretty well for years now. The FTP or fun - factor isn’t the issue. The progression/battlepass is pretty bad right now . It’s painful.

That’s what I been saying man.

Maybe not xp per-kill or per-point, but for reaching score milestones each match, encouraging better play no matter what the unique weeklies are.

Like, an extra 100xp for winning the match.
An extra 150xp for every 10 kills you get in Slayer.
An extra 125xp for how many flag captures your team has when the match ends.
An extra 100xp for winning a competitive match.
Etc.

You should be allowed to clear a stage every 2 matches if you play like a demigod, or at least like a Platinum league player.

Many of us are in our mid to late 20’s now and crave further achievement, but also don’t have all day. Dangle a big fat carrot at the end of each match and we’ll keep playing forever. And anyone not good enough to compete with us can just buy skins or XP boosts to try to look at least half as cool as us, it’s fine.

Ive been messing around in custom games. made a game that is basically just high speed skewer chaos. however its probably only fun because ive got like 4 other people to play with.

as it stands the game has the same problem as destiny. precious little to do once youve completed your weeklies. I can only play stockpile so many times before I consider the pros and cons of trying to rocket jump.

The fact you think it’s mainly children with this complaint is really amusing.

People are enjoying the game because it’s Halo. A franchise they know and have spent plenty of time with. 20 years, in fact. But one thing is for certain, one fun aspect of the game is to customize your Spartan. It’s been a thing since Halo CE, albeit you could only change your Spartan color. But it progressed from there. Halo 2, you could pick 2 colors and an emblem, even change your preferred species. Halo 3 built upon that even further, now with armor customization options. Halo: Reach took it much further, giving us one of the best customization mechanics ever seen in the series. Halo 4 and Halo 5 tried, but it was much more limited than even Halo 3.

The Multiplayer Spartan is an extension of yourself. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to customize your character when it’s been a mainstay factor this whole time since 2001.

Not to mention, despite playing this game for fun, it can get old after a while when all you do is play the same 3-4 maps in 4v4 and run into Oddball about 8 times out of those 10 games you decided to play for the day. You don’t get to choose what you play. Not the gametype, not the map. No choice. Just 4 playlists: Quick play, Bot matches, Big Team Battle and Ranked.

Is there any other assumptions you’d like to make so I can turn them over on their head or are we done here?

Or or or… And just a thought… I want to have fun AND progress in the pass I paid for. Crazy idea, I know.

my ultimate weekly was play 15 pvp matches

I said before this even released that this would be a problem.
I know this is hard for some to wrap their heads around but people ENJOY getting rewards. It’s the reason why everyone is complaining about the abysmal exp rates.
“Just play the game for fun” only applies to the first 30 hours for a very large amount of gamers, when you can easily just switch to one of the Hundreds of good games that WILL provide you rewards for spending time on them. The honeymoon period is the fun before the realisation for players and thats how it ALWAYS goes.

It just annoys me when its an easy prediction to make but 343 couldn’t foresee the problems when they sat down and spent time and money to design this system. It’s either purposefully predatory monetisation or it was designed by an intern in 20 minutes. There’s no other excuses.
ANYBODY with their head strapped on could have told you this was going to be a problem… And this is after they fixed the MCC’s progression to not be a disgusting waste of time.
I literally hate any of you that told me i was wrong and “Just wait to play it” before it dropped…

I wouldn’t even care if the XP rate was still abysmal if your in-game actions at least contributed to it.

I agree, 50xp per match with no other challenges is hell. I have 38 games I need to play to get the thing I want now… no thanks, I’m already feeling burnt out on this game with it giving me no incentive to play. Guess I’ll go back to MCC where I’m not treated like a chump with a dollar sign on my back.

I played probably half my Reach career solo grinding firefight. I had fun doing it, but also had fun getting exp for it. Is that somehow wrong of me for wanting a game to have that as a feature and that I actually enjoyed it?

Yeah lm iterally shocked that this ‘battlepass’ got the go ahead. I simply can’t and won’t believe that there weren’t a few nervous glances exchanged at 343. Just wow. Lol

I can already see all the “based on all the positive feedback we received over the first week…blah blah’” nonsense articles. Please. You know it’s junk. We know it’s junk. Try again and we can all play and enjoy this fantastic game . Thanks
