FINISH THE FIGHT?

As Bungie ended up with Halo 3, will 343 Industries also end up with Infinite?
I would like to see Halo from another studio.

No, this isn’t going to be the last halo game that 343 make. Microsoft and 343 have plans for Halo that stretch over the next 10 or so years (at least)

Yeah, I think they’re just getting started😄

In addition to what has been mentioned above, the Forerunner Saga was renamed as such because three games wasn’t going to be enough to tell the story 343i had planned.

Bungie didn’t actually end with 3, they still did Halo 3 ODST, Halo Wars, and Reach long after 3 was released

I believe the web domains for Halo 7, 8 and 9 were bought up several years ago, so I definitely think there will be more Halo for at least a decade as stckrboy stated.

Something I’ve been wondering about, is Halo Wars 2 apart of the Reclaimer Saga? As its Legendary ending is connected to Halo 5: Guardians.

Yes. Technically everything since 343 has taken over is part of the reclaimer saga and most of it is actually pretty good.

That’s great to hear. I like the idea of a larger cross-genre story being told. Perhaps Halo Wars 2 pieces will be in Halo Infinite in some way. I saw someone theorize the Banished would step in as the Covenant we fight and I thought that was a pretty good idea.

I would love to see the Spirit of Fire’s crew (or at least part of it) finally meet back up with the UNSC so they can kick some Created butt as one.

We’re going to need all help we can get!

Hope we will see the banished and the flood on infinite, same as some of the vehicules that was never introduced from halo wars games (cyclops, vultures, locust and etc…)

I think companies sometimes do this for protection more than anything else. They may not ever use them, but having control means that nobody else can use them for nefarious reasons

This is so much more relevant now than it was in 2007.
They don’t get everything right but still and even if you like halo 5 like I do you have to laugh at th he halo 5 part…

Technically speaking, Ensemble Studios made Halo Wars, I don’t believe Bungie had any part in that as their name was nowhere to be found on the game as far as I remember. I think since Halo as a title belongs to Microsoft, they simply gave the green light to engage on making a sequel to it. Seeing as Ensemble Studios DID seem to have something planned for a part 2 if you saw (I think it was the Legendary ending?) to the end where Serina attempts to wake the Spirit of Fire’s crew for something.

From what I remember, Ensemble Studios was trying to make an RTS game but Microsoft didn’t feel like their idea would draw much attention, so they had them change it to Halo since Microsoft did own the title even then. But I could be remembering wrong.

It’ll never end

This is not true. Though HW2 has links to current events in the Reclaimer Saga, the game itself is not a part of the Reclaimer Saga. It is a side story, much like ODST and Reach.

Remember the mission Guardians? Cortana speaks to all species in the Galaxy, Covenant species included (except San 'Shyuum and including Yonhet) asking them their allegiance. The Grunts accepted the offer without a second thought, so it wouldn’t be far-fetched to think that many members from each specie would also pledge themselves to her command. In fact, I can see Covenant units with a Forerunner-esque scheme on their armor. So, if there’s no Banished, we have this (although I highly believe the Banished won’t be an enemy since they’re stuck in the Ark)

I don’t see 343I giving up the Halo Franchise anytime soon. 343I was made specifically to continue the Halo world so giving it’s technically not their decision to give up the rights or not, it’s all up to Xbox/Microsoft.

Yeah this topic has always made me scratch my head. Their name is “343i”… as in 343 Guilty Spark. Halo is all that they are, at least so far. I’m not familiar with any other games they are producing aside from H4, H5, HW2, and MCC. So if they “give up” the franchise, then they pretty much cease to exist, don’t they?
