Finding it difficult to differentiate both teams

Hello, I am finding it difficult to differentiate my team mates from the opposing team. The red/blue overlay that is present is not very obvious to me and most people seem to have a neutral grey armor color.

Maybe in time it will not be so hard for me but I figured I would put in my feedback.

You can change it to a more obvious colour if you’d like through the settings. But overall I agree, I keep getting confused, but I guess I’m still learning. I Gravity Hammer’d an ally a few matches ago and was like, oh wait, blue is my team. :man_facepalming:

I have changed allys to green and enemies to bright yellow. Haven’t had issues seeing anything. The blue and red stock settings were fine as well but I find these colors to stand out much better.

Its easy, you can set it where ur enemies have tags and vice versa. So if they have tags I set it where my team doesn’t. Or if I want Them to have tags I take away my team having them. So anybody that has the opposite of my team I shoot.

I’m honestly just really not a fan of the Rainbow Six Siege style your team always being blue and the opposite team being red until the game ends… I liked it better when you were either on red or blue side, it wasn’t confusing to me. I really hope they add a way to change this in the options…

I agree 100%. Everyone seems to be talking about this and hopefully 343 will decided to do something about it.

They need to change the default colours.

My team are bright green now and it makes things way easier. Bright green (Lime?) should be the default colour for team mates.

The customization options are fantastic in this regard. Start up Training Mode and adjust the settings until the loop feels right. Set enemies to a bright color, like yellow, and allies to something that blends with the HUD (blue). Alternatively, maybe you prefer if your team stuck out with a bright color? Get in there and mess around with it. Once you have something, it’s set and doesn’t switch on you between games like the old system, so enjoy that.

I feel the Same. Struggling differentiate my team mates. Still have issues with the shield, it’s better than in flight 1, but not as good as in previous Halos. Never sure if a shield is down or not.
Also have the problem for my own shield, because i do not tend to look at the health bar.

In my opinion the shield should have another color than the outlines.

Thank you, I was not aware I could change the display settings in a way that effected the color of the players. I will look at what is there and give it a try.

Go to settings and select the option to put the names above players heads, it helps a lot!

Other than that, try different colors, I use yellow (pineapples) to the enemies, to me it is the easiest color to differenciate the enemies from the teammates.

With gamertags on I have had zero issues now, got caught slipping a few times on first flight.

I enjoy the new team color but I do really wish you had an option to turn the classic team coloring on

I shoot my team-mates a lot. Or at least reactively turn my reticle towards them and lose focus on the actual enemy.
Plus, damn, it’s so ugly.

Agreed. I think the outline thing is too confusing. Sometimes I see red with blue outline or blue with red outline and it’s confusing, sometimes fire at the wrong person. I’d rather 343i just add in an option to just turn off lone wolf colours in team based games since it’s just confusing and I feel like this will become even more confusing if they ever add modes like multi-team. I get the idea of coatings to some degree but don’t feel like it works well with team based games.

Turning on the gamertags made the Friend or Foe system readable enough for me. Haven’t had a situation-interpretation issue yet.

I messed around with the settings a bit, I had no idea it was set to Red outline for the opposing team and blue outline for your team. This explains why I was confused about what color team I was on in those games I played yesterday; I thought the color overlay was the team color.

I am still having trouble, I would prefer the primary armor color to take the color of the team you are on.

This is 100% Halo Infinite’s biggest problem right now. Bigger than radar, bigger than aim assist, bigger than weapon balance. Everything takes a second glance.
I hate it.

Having a red allie or a blue ennemy with opposite color shield is really disturbing !

talking means less to them then if you were to put it in a report, so make sure to. 343 will always chose back end data over front end data.
