How many people rember or going through legendary on any Halo games? For most i heard its really challenging on your own but its easyer to have a partner with you. Soo what is the difference in game play and also does the game change on solo or co-op? Also what halo game is truly harder then most because i finally beat one halo game on lengdary it was h3- odst and to tell you the truth it was easy then the most. Most people find Halo 2 to be more difficult because the game is more punishing if the player is unable to learn enemy placements. I would argue Halo 3 is the easiest and offered no challenge at all on Legendary and Halo 2 being easier than people make out but everyone has their preferences and difficulties.
Either way, Legendary always came down to a few things:
- What are the best weapons in the sandbox?
- Enemy placements
- Your positioning and strategy
Making a mistake or not planning for one of the above resulted in a few deaths for me, as I’m sure it did for others.
Furthermore, there is no difference between solo and co-op in any Halo game with the exception of Halo 2. In Halo 2, a death in co-op will send you back a checkpoint, regardless if one of you is still alive. Otherwise, enemy numbers and positioning in the original trilogy at least is identical. There are also no health changes to the enemies.
Finally, congratulations on finishing Halo 3: ODST on Legendary and good luck with the rest of the games, you can do it.
Above comment summarized everything quite well. I’ll also add that ODST is just about in the middle (give or take a couple spots depending on preference and play style) in terms of difficulty on Legendary, so you should be good to go for the other games if you thought it was relatively easy.

Its always easier with a partner, except maybe Halo 2 because anytime your partner dies, you both get sent back to the last checkpoint. I’ve never had any real issues going through any campaign on Legendary. I’ve got through the Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 campaigns, on Legendary, countless times. I guess it just depends on who you are playing with
i remember going through CE solo on legendary for the first time, that was an awesome achievement for myself.
always fun going through and playing again, i need to finish H2 and H3 though…

I didn’t play much campaign but did go through halo 2 and halo 3 here and there.
