I don’t know how many times the community and me myself have ask for q clan system in Halo to return and now it’s paid off. 343 are doing like I ask with a 100 player member max and all that good stuff customized emblems for clans and takin them into battle. That’s the icing on the cake for me!
I can’t see how this is what the community wanted. Sure it’s great to have clans, but the whole point was in-game clans. Let’s be honest here, only a small percentage of Halo players ever go to Waypoint and having clans limited to the website means only a small percentage will notice clans. The point of in-game clans is to get instantly recognized as a clan within matchmaking, with your clans emblem and name showcased with your tag. Players would be able to check your clans statistics such as win/loss, rank and also members and other achievements. Maybe clans could then have a dedicated playlist or two such as Clan Slayer and Clan BTB. It would also be easier to organize custom games and scrims. The point is, the whole Halo community would automatically take part of the clan system, and everyone would recognize the top clans. This would foster a competitive environment like never before in the Halo franchise.
I can’t really see the use of clans when their completely separate from the game. Aside from all of this, I am super excited for Halo 5 with or without Waypoint clans.
I logged on, and saw the company stuff. Then I proceeded to search, and requested to join ready up live. This stuff is awesome too. This isn’t your ghetto clan system anymore.
I definitely feel like this new clan system is a welcome improvement upon the old one, we now have official clan hubs and such which makes it feel far more authentic.

Who said it’s not in-game?
I’m just happy to be included.
If anyones looking for a Star Wars/Canada clan, message me for an invite to 501st Canadian Division!
I agree. I really really want the clan system in game to have a roster. I don’t want to have to sync my clan roster with my friends list.
