Not sure if anyone is stilled hemmed up with the glitched warloard achievement but I finally got it to unlock. I read in other posts that people were trying to figure out if playing a bunch of warzone and then switching to firefight would help it unlock. I’ve had Halo 5 since day one but I haven’t got to play as much a lot of the other people out here but I know have had multiple wins on the original 3 maps both in warzone and in firefight back during the first year of release and throughout up until recently.
Given all that being said, not sure what triggered it. It finally popped on Escape from A.R.C. when I destroyed an enemy core. It was my first time putting damage on an enemy core (always play solo) and it was the first time I had a victory by destroying an enemy core so I think that is what did it for me.
Nice going, man! That achievement has been on the trickier side for a while.
Drawing from this, if there’s anyone else who is missing the Warlord achievement, destroying the enemy core on the 3 required maps in normal Warzone might be the most surefire way of getting the achievement. Not entirely conclusive, but it’s probably your best shot at this rate.
The bug happens because your Waypoint/game stats don’t sync up properly with the achievement system. This was one of the most tedious achievements for me from a “tinkering” perspective. Had to delete cache, unplug stuff, delete profile, etc. etc. There are tons of comments on TrueAchievements regarding this issue and it doesn’t look like there will ever be a fix. Halo Wars 2 had the same issue for more than one achievement, but that’s getting better.

Yeah I ended up trying all that stuff out too, including clearing my persistent bluray cache and I don’t even play with a disc. Thanks for the congratulations though!

And thank you to you too. I hope people don’t need to destroy the core on all 3 maps, thankfully I only did it on one map and it unlocked the achievement. I know companies and players quick core farm so I guess if anyone still having issues with warlord could party up with players who do that in order to increase there chances of getting to a core and testing this out.

Highly recommend checking the comments and solutions on TrueAchievements. I have a comment under a solution there too. I believe it’s fairly detailed so feel free to give it a shot.
Unfortunately I tried all the possible ways of TA, but nothing.
I canceled game, reset cache / archive, save, profile … it was useless :’(

Have you tried unplugging everything from
the wall and from the Xbox? As stupid and illogical as it sounds, I got mine to unlock after I disconnected my hard drive after unplugging my Xbox from the wall. Might be the only time something like that has worked lol. Call it 66 tons of divine intervention.

Agreed. I didn’t even realize this bug existed until reading this thread. I had to go back and check to see if I had already unlocked it. (I did)
It’s pretty frustrating grinding to knock off an achievement but not see it get registered. A few months ago, I was working solo for “Worms Don’t Surf”. I had a tough time but eventually prevailed…but the achievement didn’t pop. Luckily, it finally appeared a couple days later when I restarted the game.
Best of luck to everyone still working on Warlord.

I don’t know how many cores “need” to be destroyed or if they “need” to be destroyed at all. All I know is after playing since release, do everything other threads said to do, and nothing worked but the one time I won a match by destroying a core and I either actually damaged it or got the credit for the destruction of the core myself (only myself and a friend made it to the core and opened fire on it) did the achievement finally unlock.

Only achievement I’m missing in the solo legendary run but I can’t bring myself to play that campaign again

I did damage and destroyed the enemy nucleus, along with the team, but nothing achivement
