I’m not upset, just a little skeptical because we haven’t seen the whole thing yet. Honestly, if a remix map plays well and looks different enough to separate it from it’s original form than it should be fine. I’ve already stopped expecting great maps on par with the previous halo games after what we’ve been given to work with so far, so as long as it’s not really -Yoink-, (looking at you Recurve), I’ll be fine with it.

I felt the remixes we played in the beta were pretty different overall. I enjoyed them.
I feel like any new map is a good map at this point. I’ve played a lot of the maps over and over again, so knowing that before December ends I’ll being playing a new map is pretty good in my opinion.

I agree here. I think passing a remix off as a new map is lame, based on the remixes we already have. From everything we’ve played since the beta, then map hype, and finally after release, I feel as though there was a bait and switch made. For Arena, we have a handful of maps (and since orion was dropped, we lost one, but it was only ever a forge map anyway). After a few days of play, you realize that most gametypes get played on the same maps, and it gets old. For a “standalone” portion of the game, it seems like it’s split too much with the underwhelming big team playlist and breakout. So, instead of having more maps than older Halos, it is like we have a third o them.
