FInally got to play some FF

So I finally got to play some firefight after being gone for awhile and I gotta say, I’m not entirely impressed.

Is it fun? Can be. When you aren’t stuck in a respawn screen for 30 some odd seconds because a crawler 3 shot you from off screen.

I noticed a lots changed. Req points are insanely easy to get now. The new reqs are pretty cool, loving the wasp specifically.

But lets get to what I was really looking forward to which was FF.

I honestly think a few things need to change. Not really a lot, but something to make it slightly less oppressive.

First off, why spawn enemy vehicles in round 1? Theres nothing we have to deal with them.

Secondly, why have the first objective be a “defend the armory” and spawn it half way across the map with enemies spawned inside? By the time you get there its already half way taken or almost entirely taken.

Third. Respawn timer for later waves is waaaaaaay to high comparative to the damage enemies are able to dish out. I understand the idea of wanting people to use reqs to win, but when that nice handbill scorpion dies in 2.5 seconds because the enemies deal a belligerent amount of damage as well as spawning a belligerent amount of enemies all at the same time, I’m not going to spawn my Hannibal scorpion just to have it obliterated by the op grunt mech. This is my only real problem with FF. Also, Prometheans should not be allying with the covenant. Don’t spawn 50 knights with Cannons with the grunt mech. Theres overkill, then theres that crap.

If you want a crawler to be allowed to 3 shot people, respawn timers gotta go down a bit. 25 at the absolute max would be fine.

I’m even ok with bosses being bullet sponges cause honestly all I ever played was WZ so I’m used to it.

I just honestly think some slight tweaks would make it perfect. Its current state is great, but it could be amazing.

So TL;DR I guess (hate these things) FF timer is to high based on enemy damage and spawn rates. Set respawn timer to 25 at wave 5 and 20 at 4 or lower the spawn numbers of enemies protecting the already over powered bosses.

I don’t have this issue of my Legendary REQ Scorpion being destroyed in 2.5 seconds. Placement of your vehicle is key in FF, and it’s evident based on this post you have no idea how to position yourself.

Even knowing I’ve got my firefight mastery, I do agree, as a solo player it’s not challenging, it’s just unfair, they need to tone it down a bit, I’d also like the games to last longer then 25 mins Max.

its evident by your post you have no idea what exaggerating is.

Its an exaggeration but I guess you didn’t realize that.

My positioning is fine. When you have 18 knights with cannons sniping you with pin point accuracy, positioning means nothing. Most of the maps are bad for tanks anyway due to spawn points. You cant hit the beach from the hill with a scorpion because it wont let you aim down far enough.

Itll get moved it doesn’t really matter theres not much keeping this game from being sold besides FF at this point.

This is true and I think everyone agrees the respawn timer is silly.

That’s my point. Its not challenging at all it truly isn’t, but its far from fair play even for a game trying to work against you. With the stupidly high damage output of small arms and the pin point accuracy of enemy ai even on fast moving targets its a little daunting.
