Finally get Halo Wars 2 and then...

So i finally bought Halo Wars 2 as i finally ad time and a new controller.
Love the game to death so far. Good change aside from seeing the full map in the mini-map tho.
But what happen with pvp ??
There is literally no one in Rumble or other mod aside blitz !!!

*Creative, Microsoft and 343i did an amazing with this game and i hope the future will bring more game like this !!

I thought nobody played blitz. People do play ranked 1s, 2s, and 3s.

Plenty of people play Blitz, especially after the Gamepass.

I only ever have issues finding games when I search at odd hours (2:00-6:00am).

I bought the game when it came out, and for whatever reason just started playing through it. Really enjoying the campaign so far, but I know if I venture into multiplayer at this point everybody knows what they are doing. I know I WILL slapped around in the short term. How is the population holding up? Are you able to find games fast?

Ranked team games are the most popular in my opinion. I never play Bltiz myself.

Not a Blitz fan but I too find issues finding other players, and like ‘Sadder Joker’, its usually at ODD hours. I personally don’t like Rumble because I am not a fan of ‘strongholds’, DeathMatch is my favorite.

I find I get quick games in most playlists and don’t worry about being low skill there is a very large sea if mid to low level players it’d just that the top players are more active on YouTube and twitch.

I agree , team war i always get a game. Not always the best allies but I do get a game lol

Unfortunately, ranked blitz includes player’s cards whose levels are mostly double digits and many decks are modeled after the meta. It’s even crazier in team blitz and it may have put off many people, so there isn’t a lot for the game.

That’s what I think, but the other game modes still have a lot of people based off my time to get a match.

This is incorrect. The ranked playlists (2v2 and 1v1) are open playlists. Open playlists have all card levels set to level 6, so you don’t have to worry about double digit cards. The playing field is equal, if you will.

The only Blitz playlist where card levels come into play is Blitz 3v3. Blitz 3v3 is a casual, unranked mode, so the card levels are present.

As an aside, higher card levels don’t have that large of an impact on gameplay. For reference, here’s a game of 2v2 Blitz a friend and I played in. Our opponents had higher level cards than us, yet we were able to secure the victory.

That’s not true the difference of a max LVL card and a card between 1-5 are great. There are plenty of evidences on YouTube.
For example a high level marine card can take on a low level marine card and survive with 1 /2 life.

Who knows how I won that game, then :new_moon_with_face:.

I believe from level 1-6, there’s a difference of 15% in stats, per level, then every level after that it, it’s a 1% increase in stats. Anyone who has played for more than a couple hundred games, which most players have, likely has around level 4-6 cards just from completing challenges every week, so it’s pretty rare to see people with low level cards. When I play 3v3 (non open), I usually see at least level 5 cards.

The ranked playlists are open, so this is irrelevant. But since we’re disscussing this; a friend of mine, Shandi Lp, made it to Champ a couple seasons ago (before open) using a second account that was filled with level 1-3 cards. Along his journey to champ, he played against many other champ players with level 10+ cards… he won almost every game. Energy collection, map control, decision making, and deck structure are vastly more important than card levels in Blitz. Any competent Blitz player will tell you the exact same thing. For players who don’t play Blitz a lot, they often believe higher level cards = winning, but that is not the case.

Ignore Joker, High Level cards are OP
