Wow, this campaign was just awful. Anyone agree? I thought it was the worst one yet hands down.
It’s not the worst, just the least-best.
From what I hear a lot of the main story points and background information were told through fall of reach, nightfall, hunt the truth and the books.
Thats what I heard anyways, but the halo 5 story and campaign was so short and disjointed I wasn’t even engaged in what was happening. Certainly disappointing and didn’t take 10 hours on normal like they promised.
Always better then H3 campaign
Lol not the best but not the worst

and why ?
do u want to say H3 was better ?? With large and empty maps and and all recycled from halo 2 ( soundtrack too)??
Meanwhile Halo 5 has recycled levels. Plus, Halo 3 had alot of custom soundtracks.
And regarding empty, more AI =/= better campaign.

Most people with agree with you, as do I. H5’s campaign is garbage.
I’ve yet to finish It, the squad revive system doesn’t fit, and I’m simply not as engaged in the story as with previous games, even Halo 4.
From Hunt the truth series I thought we were heading for or setting up a massive civil war, I think that might have been the more interesting story to be told especially from a Spartans (Chiefs) perspective, who are/is seen as humanity’s saviours, having to fight the people they should protect and possibly having to fight other Spartans could have created some interesting stories and conflicts. Set that up with the end op the conflict with the covenant running alongside it then drop the flood when humanity’s at its lowest point.
It was ok, the game was released last October. What are you going to try next star wars battlefront?
I thought the plot was great. The script wasn’t so great. Fighting the Warden so many times was really really lame! The environments were awesome. It had some really fun missions. I just wish they would have included par time and par score achievements.
I have a super unpopular opinion, but Reach was my absolute least favorite campaign followed by Halo 2. Halo 5’s campaign was different, but at least it was varied. I wasn’t a fan of the way Cortana behaved, but I’m pretty sure everything was setting the stage for Halo 6.

As a Military Veteran, Miranda Keyes ruined Halo 3’s campaign for me. Literally everything she did made zero sense as a commanding officer who had the lives of many soldiers under her command.
The hunt the truth advertising was what ruined the campaign for me. The advertising had nothing to do with the events of the game. They made it sound like there was going to be two different campaigns that build up to an ending (similar to how you play a Hero campaign and Villian campaign in Sonic adventure 2 with the events being concluded in a joint campaign at the end) where you play through as the Chief and then Locke hunting him missions. In the end we got one cutscene where they punched each other a few times and we had already concluded early on that the chief was still on the side of humanity. BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT ever.

Halo 3 doesn’t have the best campaign, but it’s probably the most fun I had in co- op and the missions were fun for the most part. It’s story might not be the greatest, but definitely more of a joy to go through than 4 or 5’s imo.
I was disappointed that Master Chief was only in 3 missions. One of those 3 missions happened to be a cut scene.

I’m grateful for any halo campaigns that get released, but I’ll say the story and campaign of Halo 5 has to be my least favourite, story wasn’t engaging, missions are so quick, it just felt very empty, I have no like, desire to go and play it again
with halo 2 I must have done metropolis levels over and over just to experience that campaign, and I lost count of how many times I ran Halo 3 and Reach
Ikr
Overall, it’s just a build-up for Halo 6.
