I agree.
It’s $60, doesn’t unlock armor, doesn’t have much variety, didn’t have co-op or replayable missions at launch, has features that aren’t fleshed out enough, and has unfairly difficult bosses.
I’ve tried playing games in that series a few times to see if I might like it, but it never has anything for me to like about it.
There are other open-world games I liked though that had more worthwhile content on their maps than Infinite.
Well, the hexagon thing was in Halo 3 sort of, but I do think the map in Infinite is really empty.
It’s somewhat of a waste of a map, since the map does look nice aside from lacking some variety.
A lack of good management, I think.
The game ended up having scope creep, but Microsoft wanted it to be released at the same time as the Xbox Series.
It ended up getting panned when it was first shown, so the cinematic director from Bungie (Joseph Staten) joined the development of Infinite and got Microsoft to give more time for the game to be created, but I guess it wasn’t enough.
