Final weekly challenge joke

That tactic is working for me.
Get a CQC weapon, find a tight corners part of the map, and stay put.

Let the victims come to you.
Muhahahaha!

Mostly you should rely on the sword.

Funny enough, I would wait until I got a Rocket Launcher before even going for a Spree given how hard it was…

Couldn’t agree more. This isn’t fun. It’s tedious and frustrating.

I don’t have a problem with the spree thing because it’s not that hard to get lucky 5 times, especially when rockets come in 4. MY issue is that RUNNING RIOTS ONLY COUNT AS ONE SPREE. The challenge literally incentivizes you to get 5 kills and dive off a cliff because it’s impossible to get another spree until you die. I got a 15 kill streak in a wraith and it only counted as one streak. Lame.

It wasn’t that hard for me. It took me less than five matches to get five killing frenzies and I’m not really all that skilled at the game. There’s like 3 days left in the challenge pool anyway, why stress over it?

I think the fact that we are gated by only four active challenges at a time makes it more unenjoyable. It makes the whole ordeal completely inorganic.

Before I was given the final challenge, I had a challenge that asked for the same thing: 5 killing sprees in Fiesta. I had to do them back to back, unfortunately. Final challenge? Fine. But having to do a total of 10 was a slog, and I hated it the whole time. This is coming from a decent PC player.

Putting the game down now. I can’t stress enough how unfun that was.

It works of you have a teammate that is willing to help. What’s your GT I’ll try and help you if I’m on at the same.time… also get the sword and grapple hook or sword and boost challenge and camp around corners have someone watching your back aka a friend they should have a target sensor that way you see them coming and just use those techniques to get those overkills.

To be fair that’s entirely RNG based though. When I was doing this challenge I had three straight games where I didn’t spawn with a sword or hammer. At all.

Personally it only took me a couple hours in the end but it’s not a good challenge at all imo, especially when stacked ontop of 7 event challenges and possibly more weeklies involving Fiesta. Fiesta is something most people want to play a round of now and then when they’re in the mood, it’s not something they wanna grind out. I’m not gonna be overly dramatic and say it made me uninstall the game but I doubt I’m ever going to play Fiesta again haha

They want you to buy challenge swaps

Pick up the grav hammer 5 times.

Took me 3 games, 2 of them had a Scorpion and a Wraith lol

You can’t challenge swap the Ultimate Weekly my guy.

To the OP, I didn’t really have much of an issue getting my sprees. I managed to get at least 1 every game, aside from 2 games where my luck was pretty trash with weapon spawns. It’s pretty easy if you just play conservatively.

Even after I finished the challenge, I managed to get 3 in a single match. Hell, before I even got the challenge, I got a Rampage and a Perfection, in Fiesta of all modes.

If you get Behemoth or Launch Site, you can just get in a Tank or Wraith and it’s also pretty easy to rack up a spree in those things. A Tank can eat 3 Skewers or more so you’re very unlikely to die in it.

The only real issue surrounding this challenge is that it has to be done in fiesta. The challenge itself is a skill based challenge and is entirely doable, how long it takes you depends on your skill and playstyle. I’m bang average at the game and I’ve managed 2/5.

Is it frustrating when you’re on 4 kills, you’re about to hit the 5th and you’re backsmacked? Hell yeah. But that’s what makes it ā€˜challenging’. Ultimately I decided to give it a rest yesterday because I only complete challenges for the XP towards the battle pass core that I do use, I don’t use the VII and won’t until I have some decent customisations for it.

Painfully accurate. Just have to ā€œadaptā€ to the meta

whiles i’l admit, uninstalling the game is a bit overkill… i’l also, however, admit that the given challenge, and a few others such as ā€˜snipe the driver of a vehicle’ are rather insane. like fiesta is chaotic fun, sure. but i don’t want to tryhard just to be on a spree in order to feel rewarded. in Halo 5’s fiesta, i could have lots of fun, a gay old time, and be rewarded with XP without trying, just having fun. but with challenges being the only way to earn Xp, it’s hard to have fun when i HAVE to tryhard AND be lucky because of map selection being random along with it being fiesta

My RNG was so bad, I just gave up on reliable weapons and did a streak with only melee and back smacks. Took out their whole team camping in a room and took their sword. Don’t rely entirely on RNG. Rely on skill and strategy too. Crouching is a strat. Too many people just run around in the open without a plan. If you really want a streak, sometimes you have to play stealthily. Fiesta is too chaotic to be running around in the open with bad weapons. Ambush them and take their weapons.

You know what ā€˜challenge’ means, right? It means they’re meant to be difficult (the legendary ones, certainly, and heroic to a point). These things aren’t meant to be handed to you on a silver platter, especially seeing as it’s a special one given out after you’ve completed all 20 others.

Honestly, I thought this week’s capstone was fine as is. Yes, with it being fiesta there is a lot of luck involved with what you and your opponents spawn with, but there’s also a lot of strategy involved, whether it’s running around with sword/hammer or sneaking around looking for something better suited for the job than the sidekick.

I’ve always been a mediocre pvper at the best of times, and I was able to get this challenge done in probably a total of 3-4 hours (not all in one go). Yes, it was insanely frustrating when I was on 3 or 4 kills and someone flings round a corner and smashes me with their hammer, but that’s what fiesta is, and you just have to accept it, or just don’t play it if you’re that butthurt about it.

In fact, I would say achieving 5 killing sprees was actually easier than one of my other weeklies that involves even more variables: obtaining 5 killjoys in fiesta. While it took me a bit longer to get those than sprees, I was done with both of these over the course of 3 evenings, playing a few hours of fiesta each day. While occasionally very annoying, they are very much doable.

I very much enjoyed playing fiesta in H5, and I’ve also been enjoying playing it in Infinite, despite it having nowhere near the amount of weapons and variants H5 does (though I do have to say that the grapple makes up for some of it :stuck_out_tongue:). But, hey, that’s just my take on the matter. If you want to make this the hill you die on and throw away a great game all cause you feel one thing was a bit unfair and prevented you from obtaining a free cosmetic in a free game, that’s your choice.

Had the same challenge and managed to get it done. It is very obvious that these are not played out and are only thought out. This 5 killing sprees was terrible to do. Camping with a hammer or sword was the only way to secure it and I hated playing that way. I also had get 3 kills while holding the oddball. This seems impossible and I got very very lucky being able to have good teammates and was able to again camp! at a corner and finish off enemys when they turned the corner.

I’m on one last challenge were I have to kill the flag carrier x 3. This is terrible to do. First you need the right game mode. Then you have to kill the flag carrier…kill. As soon as you start shooting them they drop the flag. I even destroyed a warthog, that had a flag carrier with a rocket launcher and didn’t get anything in the challenge! These challenges need improvement big time.
I would rather have it like it was in the MCC were you would have one weekly challenge and then daily challenges. The weekly would take some time to do but then the daily would be more achievable rather than being on the right map, right time, in a certain way. 343 really need to understand how these should be done. For example this is impossible. Just a wild example… ā€œGet a grenade kill, while being the passenger in a warthogā€ seems like it could be done but we all have experience playing halo and know that this could only be done down to sheer luck. 343 need to listen and understand whats working. They should give us more chances to swap put what we dont want so they can understand no one has done these challenges and that they are not working but I feel like I’m wasting my time typing all this because of how the cash machine the battlepass is.
