So far I think the game is looking pretty good, there are just a few things I feel need to be tweaked for Arena

Storm rifle needs a little nerf, maybe in range, rate of fire or kill time. Either or.

Let me jump/thrust over Spartan Charges. In more competitive matches people don’t really use it but I think a lot of people may agree on this one. It’s a fine mechanic, just give me a way to avoid it.

Fix hitboxes for sniping. The ones for shooting the head are quite wonky and unpredictable.

I agree with you except for the Storm Rifle, I think they should just increase the respawn timer on it.
Avoiding Spartan charges is actually pretty easy, dodge left/right/back and you can normally avoid them.
Unless they come around a corner and are in your face, that’s just instant death to you and everyone you’ve ever loved

How about completely removing melee lunge? We haven’t had a Halo game without it since CE. It’d make a nice change of pace.

Well yea, but that’s part of the game. It also sucks when you have to reload and there’s an enemy in front of you.

You are the first person to bring up something about Halo 5 that’s a constant with the rest of the games…
But its got to be way too late to take something like that out, I would think

That’s a fair statement. How do you feel about making it so that jumping would avoid the Spartan charge? That’s what I would like to see.
The storm rifle is good for 1v1 but you try to get more then one against and you are pretty much going to go down

Yea that’s great! Although that would mean changing the jump height, which I don’t think you could really change this late in the game without breaking literally everything.
Can you not jump over Spartan charges already?

The magnetism on Spartan Charge basically says “lol, nope”. Maybe a perfectly timed crouch-jump would work, but a normal jump doesn’t.
Honestly, Charge is the only new mechanic I have an issue with. It rewards rushing around corners and other careless behavior, and the magetism is ridiculous. I’ve thrustered out of the way, and had a charging Spartan turn over 90 degrees to hit me. At the very least, the magnetism on Charge needs to be reduced.

I have NEVER experience magnetism on Spartan charge. Hell, I miss way more charges than I care to admit because the enemy moved just slightly enough for me to fly by him. At which point I had my back exposed and it was an easy kill *for him.*Spartan charging may promote reckless behavior, but I wouldn’t say it rewards it. Reckless behavior is risky, after all. For as many charges that I’ve missed, I’ve dodged just as many and killed the charger.
