Final Level

For the final level of Halo Infinite I really want it to be a feel-good level. Chief, Blue Team, Osiris, my boy the Arbiter, and even Cortana together fighting against the Flood or some other common enemy. What do you think?

Or since they mentioned it being a spiritual reboot, they should have it be another warthog run in some way?

I want the a solid soundtrack for the final level

I want the ending to be like chief having back Cortana and mourning those who(might) diedin halo infinite. And Cortana when gets back in the helmet says" There is two us now, remember" . If there is flood in infinite I would want everyone to think that flood is once again finished but in end-credit scene, a weak radio transmission can be heard ,from a marine ,calling for help for being getting attacked by “tentacles carrying creatures”, persumably the flood.

I want a good and strong ending with Cortana being finally let go of, I don’t want her to come back to Chief like nothing happened, I want drama and tragedy.
I want Halo to have an ending that isn’t fan-service or is kid-friendly (Cortana being good again and coming back to Chief). I want a story where she has to be killed cause she won’t back down from the Mantle of Responsability and from her choices.

I like to see on the final level the Sgt Johnson combat the flood with Chief, Arbiter and Cortana:)

Definitely think the flood will be there, I am just wondering where Atriox will be in all of this.

Hmm…Cortana must die for what she has done. What if Cortana was just about to wipe out the Galaxy but chief somehow realizes Cortana for what she has done and turn on the good side and stop whatever she was doing to kill humanity and everything. Which might cost her life to herself.

You know, being the owner of the Mantle of Responsability is like being a Tyrant.
You say to everyone that you do what you do for their well-being when you are just reducing their actions and thoughts.
Besides, she literally wants to subdue evryone who is against the mantle by using an army of Guardians so yeah, she is bad and she is a dictator.

I feel like it should definitely end with a warthog run. Whether that is Cortana assisted or Cortana crushing doesn’t really matter either way to me…it’s their story.

I don’t know that “owning”?(is that the proper term?) the Mantle , makes you a tyrant. Technically the whole race of Forerunners were the holders of the Mantle , and surly not all of them were tyrannical. You can definitely be one , I mean we have literally two examples and both turned that way eventually , but that’s also a mighty small sample size. Considering the Didact had millennia to go insane , and Cortana was already insane/rampant when she took it , doesn’t really make either of them reliable examples. I mean would you honestly expect Chief to become a Tyrant? He was clearly who the Librarian thought should hold the Mantle.

No insult or disrespect intended toward anyone. Just my thoughts as I read through the thread and various responses.

I do believe Cortona needs to be eliminated. She has already had to many chances to come back to the UNSC.

True, but in a way the Mantle is a dictatorship.
I mean, you say you are the protector of the galaxy and you tell other species how they should act while possessing superior weapons and technologies capable of mass genocide.
The forerunner did kill all other species who fled before the flood without helping them much.

That is definitely the impression we have gotten from our two examples , however , if the Precursors didn’t believe the Forerunners were the proper people to hold the Mantle , isn’t it likely that they (the Forerunners) misinterpreted the actual responsibilities of it and how to handle said responsibility?
So , with that assumption , isn’t it possible that how the mantle has been represented thus far is also skewed by those wielding it?
In other words , we don’t really know how a proper holder of the Mantle should handle these situations? Is it really a dictatorship at its heart or have we only been shown a warped and corrupted image of it.

In the end of the day, Cortana should be dead . For unsc can’t redeem Cortana back due to her actions. Coming back of Cortana to usnc would be a process facing hatred at every step for Cortana as well as chief for bringing her in even besides knowing the facts of what she has done.
