Yes, yes, I know. Halo: Reach was a “epic fail” because it tried to cope with COD’s ideas. But I think a final kill cam in Halo 4, or in Halo in general would be sick :). Thoughts?
Yes but only for the last one not after every kill. I’ve had some very awesome final kills in Halo that I would have loved to show to the noob I killed and his team who I destroyed.
I’m fine with running around for 5 seconds getting extra, un-registered kills at the end of the game. Besides, the forums would explode with complaints (again), if this happened.
It would be good, but I don’t think it’s “Halo” plus I don’t think that it would be implemented without changing some of the coding, and I think its to far in development to do that.
EDIT: If it was implemented then I think they should switch from the killers point of view to the victims (maybe 3rd person view looking in the direction of the killer)

That’s why it says “FINAL” kill cam.
No, because the final killcam would most likely just be some guy strafing with the BR, or an AR derp pummel and that’s just boring for everyone to have to watch, if the final kill was that amazing that you need to see it again, go to theatre.

This is one of those things that CoD does well. Halo has so much more potential than CoD for clips. Another bonus is that it forces randoms to pay attention to the result of the game We’ve all had those 50-49 games end in a loss because of one careless random that isn’t paying any attention. I’m sure he wouldn’t be half as foolish if he had to watch himself die afterwards.
There are so many games that I get some sick headshot or random triple stick cross map final kill, Who cares if there are some “Boring” kill cams? It could at least give us something to watch while the game loads the lobby. I think that would be an awesome addition to Halo. I was saying how awesome it would be back in the early days of Halo 3.

Once the game is over I want the game to be over, and that would be too reminiscent of CoD. Yeah, you’re right. Halo doesn’t “NEED” a Final Kill Cam, it would just be cool to have.

So you would rather watch a black loading screen then watch the kill that ended the game? And if you want to show someone an awesome final kill, you have to go into theater (Alone in reach), Fast forward for 5 minutes, record it, save it, upload to fileshare, recommend to your friend, him go let it load in theater, watch 5 seconds, and go back to matchmaking. That can be up to 10 minutes just to show a friend something. Why not just put a 3 to 5 second final kill in the end of a game?

I want to savor that final kill! or watch in astonishment as someone no scopes me from across the map in a panicked frenzy caused be someone finding them! (this once happened to me…)
They should one-up COD and have an entire auto-made-montage of all the game’s best moments which are showcased during the post action carnage report.
Show the best multi-kills, sprees (which would auto-splice together the kills), and a mixture of metal earning moments. Sort of like an ESPN top 10 montage of the previous game.
Halo is about communication if you’re playing a team game. If i am hiding and i snipe you, you shouldn’t get to see where i am…
Also, when the game ends i want to look at stats, then leave, and start a new game, i really don’t want to waste 5 second watching the final kill.
I’d much rather have some sort of “Highlight” system in Theater (if you play FIFA you know what i’m talking about).

now that that’s out of my system i would like to say that a final death cam is a cool feature, but it isn’t Halo at all. just like bloom is not halo at all. i am anti-bloom in Halo, but i am pro-bloom/anti-no bloom in reach. reach was biult to work with bloom and it balances the game, but i never really liked it on anything other than the sniper. if you remove bloom it just makes percision weapons to accurate. i am glad that it appears that bloom is not in Halo4 and the game will be built to work without bloom… went a little off topic… sorry.
