Need to be consistent with terminology for the message to be clear. People often get these two terms mixed up or think that they are the same thing:
File Share: A place where you can upload your creations so that other people can download them. Essentially a folder of one specific author’s creations.
File Browser: A place where you look for creations on File Shares from a variety of authors. Search by Gamertag, tags, most downloaded, etc.
There is also an online aspect to these features. Will we able to download maps to our Xbone from Halowaypoint.com? I hope so.
Halo MCC had a working file share since Day 1, yet I saw countless threads where people demanded that we get a File Share. Unfortunately it did not (and still doesn’t) have a File Browser, so it’s difficult for people to find good maps. All you can do is search for File Shares by Gamertag, and that wasn’t introduced until May.
Currently we don’t have a File Share or a File Browser for Halo 5, and we eventually need both. Having one without the other is basically a waste of everyone’s time, so we should make it clear that we expect both.
