FILE SHARE HELP!

My forge team and I recently made a map that we want to feature at our community hub and push out to our followers, but we simply can’t figure out a way for people to find the map and download it. The file share system seems broken. Any help would be amazing!

If for example want to download your map I just need to follow/friend you. No need to upload anything in your file share. Once the map is done/available, just have you as a friend grant access to all your forge content

Ah, gotcha. That seems like pretty weird way to implement file sharing.

File sharing in the CG update is pretty much the most basic file sharing you can get. They said in the same community update that they will be making a better one in an upcoming patch. They are probably aware of the need of a file browser. It sucks having to add a random as a “friend” only to get a cool map he or she has build.

I agree completely. Thanks for your help!

I’m surprised this isn’t a huge problem for most people. If we could just search for map names of maps uploaded to the file share we could have access to unlimited remakes of older maps; new proffesionally forged maps; fun wacky maps from back in the day like Trash Compactor, Speed Halo, and Jenga; beautiful aesthetic recreations like Rapture and The Battle of Hoth; and epic racetracks which could be really intense now if making use of Gungeese :3. Forge is almost useless now without access to the massive selection of maps and gametypes created by the community.

go to reddit and find one of the many halo forums. The response there is much better; more consistent feedback, amount of playtesters available for testing, people who will gladly download and share your content. try r/halo & r/forge for map postings, and r/haloplayers for finding players. Lfg site alternates are halocustoms, forge.world, forgehub, and halolobbies.
