I was extremely excited when I heard the news that forge was coming to Halo 5, as I’m sure most of you were too. When it became available I immediately cringed when I discovered there was no file share browser. Custom games were HUGE in Halo 3 and Halo: Reach, and it was because of the file share browser!!! I am baffled that 343 has dropped the In-Game file sharing option, and honestly can’t think of a single reason why they wouldn’t include it.
While forge may be awesome, it is incredibly complex. I want to be able to find maps and gametypes made by forge pros that I can enjoy with my friends, and I’m sure the forge pros want their maps to become famous!
Please 343, let us share our forge creations with eachother!
I agree completely! The system for the file share is absolute garbage. Bungie did it right with the file browser
There is a File Browser on the way, but no eta of when it’s going to drop unfortunately

It’s not as easy as copying and pasting from one game to another. Reach is using an older engine, one that’s also one a completely different platform / operating system. What 343 is building right now will be specifically for the X1, Halo 5 and hopefully something reusable that can survive multiple games.
what we need isn’t just a browser but a search engine, that can search for maps based on tags and titles like back in Reach. by far the best file browsing sytem I have had the pleasure of experiencing. Found a lot of good maps through that search bar in-game.
