File ordering system

I don’t know if this has been thought of yet, so I am going to share this idea.

Basically, we should have the ability to make folders for our files. Like on a computer. You create a new folder, to put files in there, to order things.

Real life scenario:
Ok, I want to put some racetracks on for my friends. Oh no! It appears I have hundreds of maps and I simply cannot uncover any of my racetracks, due to the overwhelming number of maps listed.

How it works: (following on from scenario)
Select ‘Create new folder’, name it ‘Racetracks’. From then on, all racetracks made or downloaded can be saved directly into the ‘Racetracks’ folder.

New real life scenario:
Ok, I want to put some racetracks on for my friends. Oh good! Luckily 343i allowed us to have a folder for specific files! I’ll just go on and select my ‘Racetracks’ folder and put on one of my racetracks.

Now, to clarify, the folder doesn’t have to be specific to game types. Anything could go into the folder.

Also, it should be applied to films, screenshots and gametypes.

Film scenario:
I’m making a montage! Oh no! I have a bunch of clips, and now I can’t remember which ones are supposed to be in the montage.

How to fix it:
Make a new folder, name it ‘Montage’. Save all of the clips that you get for your montage in there.

Simple, yet very important.

Give me a thank and vote in the polls if you agree

This would be very, very helpful. I currently have almost 500 maps, and the only way I can organize them is going to each one and adding a word to the beginning of it.

Yes, complete agreement. Even if you know exactly where a map is on the list, it can still take forever to get there, even using the bumpers to page up/down. I think we should also be able to add sub-folders the folders we create. That way, I could create a folder for Aesthetic Maps, a subfolder for spaceship maps, and perhaps even a subfolder for Star Wars maps (as one example).

Like a folder for a specific forged ‘map pack’ that could have the entire folder downloaded at once?
