File Browser?!?!

Will halo 5 ever get one? Why do we have to be forced to go on other websites and add random people to our friends lists just to get a map and gametype to play? I remember times were we would run out of games in halo reach and we would just go on the browser and download a random one that looked good. Now we have to go to our PCs search up a map then go back to our xbox add the map maker then restart halo 5 so they show up in our friends lists then we can download the map.

They’ve confirmed on several occasions (never on waypoint) that they are 100% working on a full file browser. Checkout my minigames if you haven’t already!

Cannot wait. Being able to browse/download/rate community creations is what made the Halo community so great.

I wish I was able to have some input on how the new browser works, because I feel like I’m one of the few that wasn’t happy with the old browsers. In Halo Reach the Most Downloaded would only consider maps that were modified in the last 7 days. In Halo 4 the Most Downloaded would only consider maps that were started in the last 7 days. That meant that if you spent 10 days working on your map and testing it, then it would be ineligible due to being too old! As a result the Halo 4 Most Downloaded maps were usually complete trash.

Having a late File Browser launch limits their options tremendously. People have been asking to use specific screenshots for their maps and to be able to assign a map category, but at this point it’s basically too late to do that with all the completed maps already out there.
