File Browser locked, says I don't have a HDD

I have a HDD and a USB stick, but the File Browser is all locked and says I need a xbox HDD. Yet in the right column I can see the maps I made in the Forge and saved, what is going on?

I’ve tried moving the Halo 4 data back and forth between the internal drive and the USB, it makes no difference. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a solution?

EDIT: I actually couldn’t fit the Spartan Ops and had to leave it on the USB, but every other install and data file is on the internal drive the File Browser says doesn’t exist.

The internal hard drive isn’t technically a hard drive, you’d have to purchase a proper one in order to use the File Browser.

Oh, so it’s just a scam to get even more money out of me? Then it’s funny how my internal HDD is good enough to store my own custom maps, but it can’t save other people’s.

I really hope they aren’t being that transparently greedy and it’s just a bug, because I’m not buying it. I’ll just return the game.

  2. This has been a problem since theater was introduced in Halo 3, the only solution? Would be to buy a HDD.
