Figured out how to resolve my many issues

…I broke my game disk (seriously).

I’m sure the folks at 343 are really nice people, but there is either a major technical skills/competency gap within the sustainment team or management just doesn’t care about player experience and implements little to no quality controls. So many corners have been consistently cut and problems ignored.

Left and right, it is obvious that the wrong things are being focused on (or they just don’t have the skills in house to fix the issues). How many times have weapons been tuned over the past year, with the net player experience being worse now than it was when they first began messing with things? Meanwhile, multiplayer is running on a lot of legacy code from the player host days (and probably from the H3 days) w/ some bandaids to make it work on dedicated hosts.

There’s a lot of talk on here about MMR, but unless 343 is considering players relative network connection and can quantify how much a player has been penalized due to 343’s flawed hit detection, lag compensation, and general in-game physics issues that penalize the players on good connections… then their system is worthless. 75% of my game wins or losses the past 6 months aren’t due to my team or the other team being better skills-wise, it mainly comes down to which side has more players benefiting from your sub-par net code to allow them to take more damage before dying and deliver more damage with each shot that registers as a hit.

It is pretty obvious 343 is out of their depth when Focused - intended to provide the best playing experience - instead, consistently provides the worst experience. (Maybe you guys should divert some of the $ spent on labor for another weapons tuning iteration and just use that money to rent some servers in places like Mexico and Central America, so those players aren’t largely being funneled to Azure’s closest region, South Central US (TX), penalizing those of us who live in that region and have rock solid connections.)

Maybe the Halo series just needs to be handed off to someone else, like Certain Affinity. In the meantime, I’ll go play Titanfall or something else that has netcode that actually works.
