Over the weekend 343 released a trailer for spartan ops weeks 6-10. My friend and I noticed an odd structure that seemed to look like a gravemind from older halo games in the trailer. It could be our eyes playing tricks on us but it could also mean fighting flood in spartan ops. What do you think could the flood return and if so will you want it to return?
Personally I would love to see flood in spartan ops it would sure beat having a long mission fighting them like in the library!
I actually don’t think it’s the flood because I don’t think they made structures and the weird structure doesn’t looked decaying.

It might not be flood I’ll need to look again but it did look pretty flood like.
I think that one of the DLC maps might be used in a Spartan Ops mission, one of the DLC maps available is one that was involved with flood, though… I guess you couldn’t fight flood as as far as I know, they’re gone for good?
Though they could use the War Games simulation to do a VR flood fight?
I thought the same thing when I saw that building. It would make sense that the flood would appear in Spartan ops, and I really hope they do as well.
The flood is not gone for good.
It has yet to return and finish the task.
Flood mode is simulated flood fight.

Plus all the Forerunner weapons are made to destroy Flood which would mean they were made to contain Flood at the same time…

No, requiem is a Promethean shield world created before the human-forerunner war. It’s the fortress of the prometheans, their base basically. Size is unknown.
The halos are weapons of massive sterilization. Their function as shield worlds are by pressure of life workers and the fact that they have flood research facilities is due to the Librarian’s decision.
Different forerunner things are there for different things.

It would be amazing if they bring back the flood, though I won’t hold my breath. IMO the flood were the most fun to fight out of all the enemies. I mean how intense is the end of CE.
