Fight Me. I'm one of those filthy casuals.

I convinced 3 of my friends to purchase Halo 5. We were all stoked about it. The locke vs chief trailers got us more hyped for it. We all thought the req packs are a cool idea since we are not gods in halo. But the thing that made my friends turn there copies in… no causal experience.

What I mean by that is.
Fun Game types to play… I’m sorry but strong hold, just stop… No social playlist. Poor maps to launch with I’m sorry but the regret, is just a circle with horrible spawns.
We all tried Warzone but it just felt short. I personally enjoy it but I asked my friend why he didn’t. The answer was simple … No one plays the objective.

So now I’m here playing solo. I’ve searched for Spartan Companies to join. All of them turn me down because of my K.D .

I get it 343… bungie doesn’t exist. If you guys can put your pride to the side, look at how they treated both casual and competitive players. They did something right, to where I’m also thinking about just trading mine in, I want to wait until the next update.

Cheers. To all the casuals

If you can’t keep up in WZ then social isn’t really gonna fix any of your problems. It’s just gonna be 4v4 with WZ matching.

I do all right in Warzone. I’m the last of four who hasn’t traded in his copy yet.
I prefer to have fun , I think a social playlist has to happen.

I agree. I consider myself a pretty good Halo-player, but in all the other games I have always played the Social playlists over Arena. I too prefer to have fun, and some games often works better when people aren’t crazy about their K/D ratio. A lot of People play cheap in competitive playlists, so I find it more relaxing to play social.

Also, why is Big Team Battle a ranked arena playlist? Doesn’t that defeat the Whole purpose?

Custom playlist then…

Hey, I’m a filthy casul to. I also think there should be more social. Hopefully once forge arrives we will see just that.

i think its funny when I play arena to have fun and enjoy myself, and then people respond to me like, you play arena but don’t play competitive?

like thats not a thing to them

(btw I don’t suck at Halo 5, i’m a filthy casul but not a filthy scrub)

Nobody forces you to care about the ranking system. Nor do you have to pay any attention to it.

I consider myself a competitive player and I still don’t think having all playlists ranked is a good idea. I, too, agree that social playlists need to happen (and is confirmed coming in the December update). There are times where I just want to goof off without affecting my rank or my teammates rank in the game and currently warzone works but can get boring quick.

Social playlists should have been included right off the bat. I don’t understand why they weren’t.

You can’t throw casual players into rated playlists and keep an efficient competitive atmosphere. Those social players are more likely to perform poorly or quit, throwing off the balance of the matches because they want to play casual rounds but are being forced into extremely competitive matches which they won’t enjoy.

This is such a BS argument. Even if you don’t mind the ranking, more often than not you’ll encounter teams that are super aggressive and seem to live for improving their rank. It’s one thing to not care about ranking up, it’s another to be completely miserable playing games where you can hardly get 2 steps in before getting killed.

Wow. Perfect. You nailed it bro.

Social playlists are going to be coming in the update here or at least BTB social.

Let’s hope so.

The problem is that by forcing a ranking system on a social playlist you’re only degrading the experience, especially with a playlist like BTB where there are a lot of players in a lobby and matchmaking based on the closest players is preferable over being matched with players of the same rank in order to reduce lag and match making times.

I miss playlists like grifball, if you’ve ever played it. There’s been quite a few fun playlists over the years, but Halo 5 is lacking in the playlist department right off the bat. They add in weekend playlists, which is nice, for the weekend only… But, I really feel as if every game mode is just slayer, where I’m put against high-tier players just in different scenarios. It’s a real conundrum, and Warzone is not too great: you either have team mates that play the objective or you don’t, and that’s the deciding factor in you winning.

I hear ya brutha.

The problem is, 343 doesn’t…or more accurately WON’T!

They have effectively KILLED Halo to make it their own and erased all the innovations Bungie created.

I pulled my copy of Halo 5 out of the One a week ago.

**Fed up with 343.**At least I can still play all the real Halo games on my 360, or on the One when they get around to making them BC.

I want them to be creative with their social playlists. Maybe 4 teams of 6, or imagine griffball with 3 teams of 8 going at it. A huge variety will be cool. I want to have fun and change it up on occasion. Infection should really return as well. Team action sack would be a blast.

I also want more war zone variants. Like a straight up slayer variant with a 6 or 8 minute timer. Highest score in that time wins. Something different would be fun. Or maybe whoever can hold one base for the longest in a given time wins, or some kind of massive assault (old school with a bomb) games would be great. I just feel they have an awesome base with the war zone and req system that they are not taking advantage off.

Technically, anyone who doesnt make money off this game is a casual. I mean, its just a video game.

social playlist are coming.

Uhhh social playlists are coming the week of the 15th.
