fiesta isn't much of fiesta...

fiesta is supposed to be every gun in the game, at least it was in halo3.

all i see now is all rockets, power ups, sniper and binary rifle, and the occasional scatter shot. where are all the other weapons?

will there be an update that makes it so any weapon can be an ordnance? because in halo 3 i loved being able to find any gun i wanted on the ground,or pry it from my enemies hands. I’d love to see the ground littered with almost every gun (not really because weapons literally have a 2 second de-spawn time)

i loved spawning with random weapon sets each far

i remember in H3 when i spawned in with only a single magnum… it didn’t end well, but it made me lol so hard…

dont get me wrong, i love the ordnance spam. its a ton of fun, i just wish there was more weapons then like 5.

Nope, because little Timmy doesn’t like when he spawns with a magnum. He likes big weapons that kill in one shot, so he can feel good.

And this game was completely designed around little Timmy and making him happy.

i honestly think they should change the name from fiesta to sniper rockets.

The Ordnance isn’t even random either, just a weighted average of power weapons.

You are right. Team Fiesta isn’t actually Fiesta. Since you spawn with your normal custom loadouts, it isn’t really random. You don’t start off with the random weapons anymore which was the fun in playing Fiesta.

Hell, I made a “Fiesta FFA” the first day in Halo 4 and it actually is and plays like Fiesta should. RANDOM weapon starts, no PODs, no weapons on the map, fight to survive with what you are given. How hard is that?

How on earth did 343i screw up Fiesta? A gametype that is completely based on randomness and they decide to take the fun, randomness away from it. They give us so much extra, unwanted randomness in normal Team Slayer, but take it away from Fiesta…

Not once have I seen the The Beam Rifle, Railgun and the Sticky Det in that playlist. 343 must of forgot about those weapons.

last night i was playing and it was a very rare occasion where i would see someone without the incineration cannon, and they reloaded it in like 1 second.

they need to add UNSC ordanance (besides the rocket, spartan laser and sniper those are the only 3 out of 7) along with the beam rifle, needler, and concussion rifle.

Here’s the problem that Fiesta has always had: it’s broken in Halo. If you had a game with a more balanced sandbox like Rainbow Six Vegas or Unreal Tournament in separate respects then the idea of improvised use of random weapons would be something that could produce something quite remarkable indeed but because Halo has certain insane notions like “power weapons” the result of random weapons will be rockets, snipers, and to a lesser extent shotguns and other melee weapons. That has ALWAYS been the case for Fiesta ever since they allowed random weapon spawns in Halo 2.

Now 343 has merely cut out the worst of Fiesta and given you only a choice between those guns that you would want to actually use in the gametype. Now there is something to be said for a lack of variety within the category (do we really need three types of launchers, two snipers, and two types melee weapons when the sticky detonator and needler have been left out?) but any sort of comparison to the old Fiesta still lends more favorably to the new one. It actually works (when played on mid sized maps.)

the only maps i find somewhat fair are haven and abandoned (sometimes) but adrift is just terrible, mainly because its all hall ways. majestic map packs seem like they would be good but i never get to play because people don’t like buying them.

FIESTA IS REALLY BROKEN. ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS JUST SPAWN US WITH RANDOM WEAPONS FROM THE WHOLE ENTIRE ARSENAL. FIESTA IS NO LONGER FUN FOR ME AND WILL NEVER BE A GAMETYPE I WILL EVER PICK

At the moment I am not enjoying Fiesta at all, I can barely spawn before getting shot by a Binary rifle or an Incinerator cannon. I barely have enough time to get my ordinance drop. I don’t see why the Needler or the Rail Gun aren’t in the drops either.

Did they mention details into what they will be adjusting weapon wise? The randomness of the ordinances or the re spawn of random weapons?
