I stumbled about an thread where an typo made Satan out of spartan.
So everyone there started to make jokes about that.
And for some reason suddendly this question appeared in my mind:
Do you think in the future the UNSC will still have combat priests?
Or will they be just an unused relict from an more religioisy past?
Oh and befor someone say something,I dont have any religion and this thread is not about religions only about this question.

It’s not so much a case of them adopting it is as them not bothering to do away with the practice in the years between our present day and Halo’s era. Human religions are still around in the days of the UNSC (including at least some of the ones practiced today in reality), so there’s no reason to think this isn’t part of the UNSC.

I know, I’m just saying in a universe where Humanity is at war with religiously genocidal aliens you’d think the aliens would have the field priests.

Considering that humans still have religion, it’s very probable that the UNSC has a Chaplains Corps.

Probable but unlikely due to the enormous advancements in science.

Would probably be impractical due to the myriad religions they’d have to represent.
