Something just occurred to me, something I haven’t even seen mentioned since I first heard about it.
Early on, I heard from several sources that, at least in Campaign, you could ‘field modify’ vehicles. Since then, nothing about it. Heard about loadouts, gameplay, multiplayer, various other campaign details… but nothing about this.
Was it scrapped? Was it ever even in, or was it just a rumor that got around?

Yeah, I thought I remembered that, but wasn’t sure if I was confusing something I read about Borderlands 2 or something with Halo, so I didn’t mention it in the OP.
Really would love to see this, and especially would love to see what it could do for Custom Games. Hover 'Hogs? A Mongoose with a turret? Plasma Scorpion? Could be awesome.

No, those are just some ideas I had. The option for customization is never a bad thing.
Well they had a whole lot of ideas that got scrapped early on because they didn’t have that “halo” feel, so I don’t see ant reasoon they would have kept this stuff.

This looks amazing, i hope it’s real. But somehow I doubt it though, most of them sound really believable though, I really hope they are real, apart from the oil slick’s ability to stop vehicles.

I don’t remember anything about attachments, but I do remember destructible scenery. Why have we not been given examples yet?

If oil slick is real, it should make vehicles slip out of control, why the hell would it stop the vehicle from functioning?

I just quoted what I saw, it says “stops vehicles” and I said I didn’t want that. That is all.

It’s like being stuck in snow. You just sit there spinning your wheels because there is not enough friction between the wheels and the ground.

that said, it doesn’t stop vehicles either
vehicles will just glide across the slick i.e loose control
right?
Hey, when did you ever hear about all of this crap?
I have never heard about this at all. I would like to see some of the Warthogs that were modeled for Halo 3 that never made it into the game.
