Field Gear?

With a year before release there is no way Something like this could not be added but hopes to a future halo.

Field Gear is a replacement for AA’s and equipment and as there successor Its sorta a mixture.
There are 2 kinds of Field Gears

Chips:These are little chips that go in the back of your head like cortana but instead of being a blue chick with a brain there dumb AI’s who only know how to activate one part of the suit. They can be placed on the map but you can start with them just like AA’s (only on select playlist). Chips also can ether be stolen by other Spartans (say you die. Your opponent saw you use a chip so he comes over, he gets hold X for what ever and he rips it out your lifeless skull and tosses you away like garbage). Some brake after using however. Also because chips are put in your armor Emps will brake most of them.

Attachments:These are much more like equipment but can normally be used more then once. They can be spawned with but it would only be in customs or very few playlist but for the majority would be on the map.

Power Charge:By draining the power from your shield you can recharge plasma or laser weapons. This makes you extremely vulnerable as your shields recharge takes double as long. This cant be broken by EMP

Thruster:Its like jet pack but instead of a full on blast up its just a small boost to your jump making your jump doubled. Can be broken by EMP

Power Out:This is dangerous but can save you in a tight spot. Power Out Gives you a 10 second invulnerability and is followed by a big boom caused by all that energy being shot out causing a emp. How ever it completely removes your shields. This unlike most cant be done 2 times. If you have a over shield then your shield is saved. In MM this would not be spawned on person at any time. You can change this in customs. Will brake after use

Sprint:Just like sprint. EMP wont brake
Evade:Just like evade. EMP wont brake

Cloaking:for the cost of half your shields you are turned completely invisible (you wont even show up on radar) (your shields will be turned back to normal after usage is done.) One bad thing is however A EMP while use will brake it and jam your armor for a long time.

Attachments
Bubble shield:Like the halo reach one but doesn’t heal. Can only be used once.

Deploy-able med kit/Repair Kit: Allows you to take along with you 2 med kits to help out the team. If the game does not require health Then It is a repair kit. The Repair kit fixes damaged armor (like broken chips or un jamming you) and can put damaged vehicles back at full health (But they are still easy to destroy with weak points open every where).

Deploy-able Turret:Gives you 2 Automated turrets that the user can deploy to add defense. Don’t worry if you put them in the wrong place because you can pick them back up.

Deploy-able Trip Mine: 3 small mines that can be placed where you please. When set off a Large emp is let off shutting down vehicles (but not harming them) and killing those closest to the blast (so if your in the front when you hit your done for but in the back you may live)

Arm shield:A small shield on the arm that will protect the front of your person.

Scout clone:A small flying camera thing that you can use to make a controllable hologram of your self and use to scout hazardous areas. In hologram form you play in third person… sorta. Your actually a flying camera viewing a hologram so its first person look on third person.

So in other words, perks? I dunno, I could see it working, but it would also ruin the core gameplay of Halo by removing the aspect of everybody starting out on equal grounds. Now, I’m not against Halo 4 evolving the genre, and this could be nice if it was well balanced. I do like how your suggestions don’t have infinite uses though, since I think that’s one thing that made armour abilities so disliked.

However, if Reach showed anything, it’s that fans will not be happy with such drastic changes. If your ideas were to happen, it’d have to be gradual over the span of the trilogy.

as i said in the main thread these would only be in certain playlist
and even then in fewer playlist like maybe one dedicated for reach fans woudl you be allowed to start with them

And I know this. after all I saw at bungie when reach was released I can see something like this may never be excepted. But I thin kit could work and make halo all the better. maybe even bring in a new audience while keeping the old.

These would be divine if we don’t spawn with them. If would give players the “drive” to actually go to parts of maps and rush these items.

Waaaaaaaaaaaay overpowered. And it would just slow down gameplay.

No. I don’t think that’ll work. I think there should be something that is 100% needed skil to use if you 0% skill it won’t work well.

also I decided it would only be a map pick up in MM instead.

While i do agree you have a good idea, i still strongly support the return of equipment.

I like the concept you have going here. Of course they would need to be balanced, for example the Cloaking seems OP, it would need some kind of drawback or countermeasure.
I don’t really like the Power-out one, but the rest seem pretty cool, especially being able to recharge plasma weapons.

I’m not a fan of the attachments, seems too CoD or Battlefield-like in my opinion.
Wouldn’t we have regenerating health like in Halo 2 and 3? kinda makes Health kits redundant.

Attachments are just like equipment thow? Just you get more then one

Ok I think I de powered the cloaking. what do you think?

Its ok the power out is strictly ment to be something Extremely rare

I changed it a little incase of that fact by adding a /repair kit
