Regular FFA at a high level is just camping with a storm rifle getting free kills. You are at such a disadvantage spawning in with a pistol and ar. You have no chance against someone with a stormrifle, or a br. FFA swat is completely even. Someone spawning in has the same weapons as someone who has been alive for a minute. Regular FFA should be similar to this and greatly reduce or even remove all map pickups. Gamebattles has FFA tournaments almost every week and the settings are 8-man truth ffas with br starts. There is no plasma caster or camo and it plays amazing. 10x better than the current FFA playlist. 343 should definitely look into making FFA more competitive this way.

I agree with what you say, you are a rare example of someone who understands what ffa is really like! 
and for a ffa champion, you are very level headed and honest! If you get 2 bad spawns in a row, eg. you are spawned between to people, you are most likely doomed as the other players will have the power weapons and shut you down. Plus they know you need kills and so you cant sit around. They have the power weapons and sit and camp so you cant wait for them as they wont move, and therefore you are forced into battles in which you are unlikely to win but have to try anyway. That is why ffa snowballs so often and right from the start. The start of the match is incredibly crucial. It is also why plats can beat onyx just by being at an advantageous spot early in the game. Its also why your ffa skill cannot be judged off just 10 placement matches. But ffa swat is sweet and there is none of that rubbish. I love it. Finally feel like i can overcome a poor start that i was powerless to prevent from dodgy spawns, and can get to work.
