Would be good have a social FFA with normal radar, DLC maps, weapon spawns 15 seconds… ETC
To competitive could be: base maps, hability tracker, no spartan charge, no ground pound, weapon spawns 45 seconds (like HCS)
Sorry my English

The ranked FFA is hardly played. You can use the customs browser to create a social FFA whenever you wish, though. The benefit of that is you can choose exactly what to play and when you want to play it.
Rumble pit in H3 was great. I believe that was FFA with 8 players. Was fun.

How do you know the ranked FFA is hardly played?
They need to replace the new motion tracker, why even have one when they don’t show up on radar until you bump into them? Needs to return to the original motion tracker.

It’s been one of the lowest ranked playlists on the playlist popularity list ever since they’ve been published back in December. That’s why having a social and ranked FFA playlist wouldn’t work, but I’d rather they just make it social instead so it will be less intimidating for more casual players which could boost population and they can add objective game modes to it.

Well shoot, I was going to start playing ranked FFA this week.
I doubt the ffa population is there for two playlists. Last time I tried to play ranked ffa I sat searching for a few minutes and gave up. I moved to BTB and found a match immediately

I like the new radar way more. It makes the fights more unpredictable and forces the player to have more map awareness. The only problem is when spartan charge is spammed tho lol
But the old radar…idk man…you had to much notice of where people were at. You had to crouch walk for so long. I like the new radar, or the hcs settings…granted…i wasn’t all that great in that playlist haha. Slayers my main playlist.
On topic to FFA though…it would just divide players across the playlists that could lead to less populated ranked and unranked FFA, longer search times and undoubtedly having those moments where you see the same names pop up depending on time of day, could even be worse.

Not only was it 8 player FFA but you could go in with a full party of 8 to play. That’s something, I believe, should still be around

Yeah I miss the no lobby minimums. Would be fun to go up against friends or spartan company members. A few rotational playlists ago for the first hour there no was lobby minimum. They soon after fixed it. I wish it would of stayed open though
@Dr. Menke, Anyway this would be possible for the next rotational? ^
Thanks

It’d be nice to have the ability to do that again. Obviously only in social playlists. I’d really like to see that come back

You still can, there’s plenty of people of all ranks who still play it, you’re just more likely to play the same players quite a few times.

I was never a fan of that as a solo player because just about every time I was in a lobby with a big party they would team up and try to only kill me or the other solo player if there was one.

This is true. But with how the MM system works anyways, TS2 wouldn’t allow that

TS2 wouldn’t prevent parties from ganging up on solo players because it would be social which means it’s looser matching and it would allow parties and solo players to match each other like it currently does in other playlists.

Would be kind of lame for parties to do that anyways, but wouldnt suprise me. It will probably never happen anyways.
I just think it would be cool to go up against friends or spartan companies. Doesnt have to be FFA. Even 2 teams of 4 or 5 in slayer/objective or action sack game types is what i am getting at.

Really? I never had issues with that. But, then again, FFA was my best gametype back in Halo 3 so teaming up against me was never a big deal. To be fair, it is a social playlist so I guess it’s not that big of a deal.
I’m sorry to hear you had those experiences though.

Thanks. I never got to play FFA in H3, but it did happen in Reach. Like yourself, it was also my best gametype so it was more of an annoyance than anything when it happened. The only good thing was they usually all had the same armor color, so I would always change to their color right before the game started making it harder for them to single me out.

That’s a smart idea! I remember parties doing that so it was easier to team up on people.
FFA was always my strongest playlist because I didn’t have to rely on teammates. If I lost a game, it was my fault. Simple as that. I always loved the thrill of taking on multiple enemies as well. It’s too bad you missed out on the Halo 3 FFA days. There were tons of great maps and the DLC FFA playlist had Community Maps in the mix as well.
