FFA Regicide

In the early Halo 4 days, there was an amazing game type called Regicide. Many people know it for the team variation, Team Regicide- but I’m here to tell you that the 8-player FFA Regicide is the most underrated gametype of the 21st century. It is a spectacular deathmatch with a moving objective. Camping is not an option if you want to win. You need to hone your 1v1 skills. You need to quickly adapt to staying the king, or slaying the king throughout the match. The player in first place is the king. You get points for kills, but even more points for killing the king. This score differential can leap frog you from last place to first. If you stay the king for a long enough amount of time, you earn an overshield. Typically you don’t last that long with an objective marker above your head and 7 other payers out to get you. But, sometimes that overshield pops on mid-fight. You lose a lot more than you win, but I guarantee it is the most exciting objective mode there is. You learn combat skills at a much faster rate than any other game mode. Regicide is intense.

I hope it returns for Infinite. Does anyone else agree?
