Pls explain to me in a normal man’s terms: Why do i lose rank in ffa even when im beaten by someone of higher rank? And i was in 2nd place.

This is so frustrating.
Could be that you under performed from what the system expected and your MMR was higher before the match so it dropped you a little bit. The only way you’re going to really know is if you post it in the MM Feedback thread at the top of the forum and Menke could look into it.
The Halo 5 ranking system confuses me. I think it loses a lot of the incentive that the old ranking systems had.
