so i’ll keep it short n sweet, basically in playing free for all, ive noticed that no matter if you get 1st or last your rank/rating always goes up. this makes it easier to get to the higher ranking and literally just adds it up over time. honestly i think only the top 2 should go up, 3rd stays neutral, and 4,5,6 should should go down. i dunno i could be seeing this the wrong way but i feel like the legitimacy of achieving onyx or champion is being cheesed, am i the only one who thinks this???
I do think ffa ranking is pointless yes, all you need to do is just play a lot and you’ll rank up, doesn’t matter how good/bad you are. Personally tho I’d do top 3 ranking up and 4-6 deranking.

No your ranking doesn’t always go up. I am in onyx and 5&6 doesn’t give you CSR, sometimes not even 4th added to my CSR
After Onyx 2000+ what you want really does apply, by that point you rank down if you’re 4th and below, sometimes even 3rd and only the 1st and 2nd place rank up.

I don’t think the green arrows really mean anything, and if they do they seem to be glitched.

That is because you aren’t in games with me 
Make the bottom two lose CSR, forth is neutral and the top three gain CSR.
The top three would also count as a win.

This is exactly how it should be. There is no reason why fourth and fifth don’t drop.
The Green arrows are broken. The post game screens show Green regardless of the result. I used to keep a record of CSR from game to game manually and can confirm poor finishes result in CSR ranking down. Had a run of 5th and 6th places and went down around 40 CSR. I’m at >2100 in FFA.
My biggest complaint about FFA ranking is constantly matching unranked players. I know this is the same across every playlist, but it seems to be more prevalent in FFA. When I match unranked players the day before a reset, there is obviously no shortage of qualifying players, so why not separate us?! I don’t care if post season rank comes into play or not. It pretty much guarantees lopsided matches. And smurf accounts don’t help that situation either!!

Well if you are gaining CSR you are placing fourth or above. You don’t gain CSR for placing fifth or sixth once you are high onyx.
