I’m currently grinding in FFA and is confused by the points mechanic. I’m today in diamond 4 and some games I will go up from a 5 place and some times I have gone down from a 3 place?
erm how does it work? I’d think if it chooses your opponents and calls it a fair game then only your placement should count, but that’s not how it is.
I have no idea man. I sometimes don’t move up at all from a 5th place. It probably figures that you should have beat those players.
i personally think that if you go 5th place against better players you go up, but if you lose against players ranked underneth you you go down, doesnt work all the time but most of the time 
Its a weird thing, because the entire match should be “fair” all opponents taken into consideration. would be nice knowing what a given place earns you.
