In one game I saw 40, 80, and 840 in FFA matches for platinum players…
And that game, guess what? Me and the other higher gamerscore players were lowest on the list, because we weren’t using hacks, mods, glitches, and whatever other -Yoink- that made them low gamerscore or need a new account to play…
Can someone PLEASE implement measures to stop this nonsensical -Yoink-? How can I ever feel like I’d have a chance at tournaments with all these hackers? It is terrifying that my favorite game type is filled to the brim with all these suspicious characters with less than 1500 gamerscore all the time. It has me just plain paranoid… Some of these people can’t even be playing if they have such a low gamerscore and are ranked at platinum, they’d surely have 3 achievements via kills by then!

Double negative. Also claiming “Xbox can’t be hacked” without providing evidence or admitting that modded controllers DEFINETELY exist, or that laghacking definetely exists.

Such accounts are suspicious. Also, you provide no proof that it “can’t be hacked.”

What proof have you provided? Post some clips. Yes there is some sort of modded controller that can be used but that isn’t a hack per say…

Lag switches are easy as a youtube video to make, and are easily found on youtube. Really now, it isn’t challenging, unfortunately. This wasn’t posted to enquire of other people’s opinions as to whether it isn’t happening. That is absurd. There are always literally hacks/mods for almost any game that people pay money, sometimes even subscribe to, for.
What is this “smurfing” you speak of?

All right, I don’t have to prove that something can’t happen. You’re falling into an argument from ignorance fallacy. I can tell you it hasn’t happened yet. Hackers like to show off, the first person to run modded code on the Xbox one will put the info out there. It is what hackers do. You’re almost certainly running into smurf or sock accounts. These are players who are better than you playing on a lower ranked second or third account.
and the modded controllor ar thing was fixed with the last update.
Lag switching isn’t possible with dedicated servers.

Not always, pro hackers literally make money off of it.

Who would then need to advertise their services by making their activities public…
or or are you really claiming someone hired a “pro hacker” to create multiple accounts and follow you around in ffa? That would be absurd.
There’s this thing called theater that records your match history. So you know, put up some videos.
People having bad connections isn’t hacking.
Modded controllers don’t work as there is a maximum button press input that disables turbo controllers.
Xbox one code hasn’t been cracked yet, or it would be all over se7ensins.
A hacker can’t make a profit if he doesn’t advertise his product.
I meant in the average Halo 5 players sphere, it likely wouldn’t be advertised. In the -Yoink- sphere, yes.
Just looking up “halo 5 hackers” without quotes on bing provides a search entry for a hacker article that this website isn’t letting me post about no matter what.
Using a lag method that involves them unplugging their ethernet for half a second and that gives them a lag strafe or lag shot - They have a rapid fire mod - They just have -Yoink- connection in general:EDIT: that second one doesn’t make much sense unless it’s with an auto
What other people have been saying about secondary accounts is the most likely case here. It’s basically Onyx level players whipping up a second account with the sole intention of going against lower-ranks just to beat up people that wouldn’t be able to fight back as well as similarly-ranked players. Which is a lot more efficient and easy to do than the methods you’re speculating about.

Also useful for getting clips. But yes this is true, onyx players often use a smurf to get their shot back before going on their main account
Ok, I’ll start by saying you can’t lag switch in halo 5 because we have dedicated servers. Secondly, they’re not hacking, they’re smurfing. Against platinum level players, there’s no need to hack or mod to dominate if you’re an onyx skill level player. It wouldn’t make sense for someone to hack to stay at such a low level anyways.
A game hosted on dedicated servers cannot be tampered by an average joe while online with microsoft’s level of security. Sounds like you’ve been running into smurf accounts.
As others have said it’s probably smurf accounts. I regularly have Plat level games where a brand new player goes 25-4 while the rest of the field goes (kills) 12, 10, 9, 7, rage quit. It ruins the game for everyone and takes a win away from the guy who is playing on his legit acct (skill level). It actually happens pretty often and can get frustrating. What happens a lot less often is when two players search FFA simultaneously hoping to get into the same match and work together to get a win by one player feeding kills to the other.
The anonymous nature of the internet, along with Microsoft’s Gold sharing of multiple, free accounts is responsible for smurfing. It affords kids who feel weak in real life because they’ve done nothing besides sit on a video game for eight hours a day a place to feel strong. And they still use deception to bully lesser skilled players. It’s kinda pathetic, but 343 and MS accept it to the point of almost promoting it.
Onyx and Champ players who have a few bad games can go on an alternate acct and dominate to feel better about themselves. The Gold, Silver and Bronze players who are looking for fair matches and hoping to improve have no place to go when they get stomped into the ground by those players. These lower level players have four choices: 1) Accept your rank and stop complaining. 2) Spend enough time on the game to “get gud”. 3) Only play custom games with friends. 4) Quit and do something else. MS and 343 are hoping they chose one of the first three options.
