I’m not a huge FFA player but I’ll always play it and enjoy it to some degree in ranked. It’s very intense. I’m sure some people must enjoy this FFA Slayer playlist, but I just feel this iteration of it is absolute pantaloons.
Only being slayer is a little disappointing, but I guess none of the other objective modes really have any sort of setup for non-team games though do they? Maybe you could finagle Strongholds to basically be KotH if there’s only one zone…
Can you que with multiple players in your party into FFA?
I know it sucks when you get people teaming up during FFA games… but I miss being able to load into FFA with a couple of my buddies and getting the chance to frag each other. Sometimes it’s a good cooldown if you’ve had a couple really intense games in a row… I just wish teamers didn’t ruin this for everyone else
I love how backward they are. Team matches have mixed objectives playlists with Slayer, and FFA is only Slayer. FFA is exactly where you want things like oddball, hill, headhunter… etc… just not understanding
I’m just gonna say that whoever is in charge of playlist should sit back and scrutinize how MCC is set up.
MCC has so many queueing options which let you queue for as many things you want, and this time in Infinite, there isn’t 5 MP games to split the playerbase.
There should be no problem at all just copy pasting the same playlists over and letting us play how we want.
Guardian on Halo 3 had camo, overshield, sniper, shotgun and grav hammer.
Played Live Fire earlier and it has one neutered shotgun and a sniper/skewer. One power-up. Super weak offering for FFA. Nothing to Scavenge, everyone was just trading kills all game.
That’s true, I found that kill trades happened much more often than in previous titles. FFA is my favourite playlist and I didnt enjoy my few games before work in it.
I think if it’s just a bandaid for a few weeks until we get actual proper Halo playlists, it’s okay just to finally have any type of FFA.
But I totally agree, nearly every playlist (including FFA) needs to have both a social and a ranked version. And FFA absolutely needs to have a couple of objective types sprinkled in once 343 gets back from their holiday break. As for the weapons, I think there should be both BR and AR variants mixed into the list.
FFA Slayers usually just boils down to who can steal the most kills from people to win the game. You want to avoid 1 vs 1 matches unless you know you can end them quickly or are forced to fight the person attacking you.
I’ve played BR starts customs games FFA and admittedly it’s kinda brutal, basically I think the maps need to be bigger. Halo 5 had the Mythic Rumble which was on some forge maps and it worked a lot better. You need big and mostly covered rooms for the BR starts to work.
I’m not sure the maps lend themselves that well to BR starts, but the AR starts with sbmm and limited power weapons are painful. I imagine this is why FFA wasn’t included originally ha. It doesn’t play too well right now. I’m assuming once forge comes we will have some bomb FFA maps to play.
