At the end of the core defense on the hill on Urban, there is sometimes a late spawn. Most of the time it does not happen, but when it does, it is good for several extra kills/points.
I wanted to know if that is random or triggered somehow. Time based perhaps?

I think it depends on how fast ur team kills the last enemies. It’s like the first round stormbreak, If nobody kill the last grunt, then another phantom arrives.
It happends in other rounds, but now I just remember that two (in stormbreak round 1 It happends in the defense, kill enemies and the one of 2 elites, If the elites survive more time, more enemies drop)
That is my guess. I wanted to see if anyone knew for certain.
I think I can break C Der Phoenix’s 62500 on Legendary. Every extra point would help 
He just did 57650 on ARC as well.
I am going for 60K on Urban and Apex 7. I may be able to get it on Sanctum as well. It is all about getting the right rounds and teammates. There may be too many good players out there.
Are you doing this on Heroic? Are you with a group that is trying to get as many as possible and still beat the bosses to not lose? Sounds like a fun time actually.

What’s the highest score on Mythic ? Those maps would be difficult to beat 62K points on since they have the least kills per round on average. Would need to get all the best rounds and a team who doesn’t pull many reqs. Personally I’m trying to get 200 kills with the magnum only on heroic

Actually, the highest scores are on Mythic from what I have seen. There are more points per kill and take down. I get 50K scores way more often when I do Mythic.
I do not really care that much about 1st place, but what is funny is that I do better relative to my teammates the higher the level. I do not do Mythic often, but once I get used to the skulls, I usually get first place every time. Even with good players. On heroic with the same team, it is much less consistent.

Well that goes without saying, playing alone is the only way to get a top score and even then you need to get lucky with the rounds and teammates.
60K on Legendary seems like quite the challenge but it could be done if you get a map that has lots of vehicles to destroy. Yea I have gotten over 50K quite a few times in Mythic but I dont play it as much since it really burns through the high end reqs
Yea that happens to me too, a lot of people just try to play it like its heroic or something and doing that will just make them die a lot. Guess some people just play too reckless and dont really realise what the black eye skull really does.
