Female character model in Halo 4 Multi-Player

Okay, so in Halo 3 when you selected your gender, your character model was still the same and the only change was the sounds your character makes. Now I am sure this was for canon reasons because all Spartan-II’s had the same proportions because of the augmentations.

Now in Halo: Reach. The female Spartans look more… feminine. I am to understand this was because Spartan-III’s weren’t as augmented as spartan-II’s.

What I am trying to say is, since Halo 4 is after Halo 3 and there wont be any Spartan-III’s, will the female Spartans we get the play as in multi-player have an feminine appearance or will all Spartans look the same but have different sounds.

Yes, but hopefully they aren’t as exaggerated, as I don’t want more 12 year olds running around with “omg -Yoink!- hot hot kat ur awesome 1000 screenshots

Euh. The armour plating takes care of that.
'Twas the rear end that had that issue.

Indeed, that is quite annoying. But just because immature people play doesn’t mean it has to be ruined. I don’t expect, nor want, the character to have gigantic breast and what-not like those anime fighting video games. Just something like Halo: Reach,

Halo 4 should have female options, as well as Elite options (female Elites?), in multiplayer, regardless of canonical reasons. The physical appearances can’t differ too much, for the hit boxes need to stay the same, but the more customization options the better!

My “Screenshots of You” is proof of that. :S

The SPARTAN-II’s were not all the same proportion. Yes they did all get bigger and stronger, but for example, Sam was the considerably the largest SPARTAN II which means he was larger than Master Chief who is 7 foot tall and some other SPARTANS were smaller the Chief. I don’t see the problem with making SPARTAN II female models seem more feminine.

Yes, some were taller and bigger. But a majority were around the same. Well, that’s what I’ve been led to believe.

Just because they were around the same size doesn’t mean you can’t add subtle things to differentiate male from female, such as wider hips.

But I do agree, I hate searching through all of the screen shots and half of them are of a spartan chick butt, every thing about the female spartans are just fine, tho I do think the waist should be a little wider, they are wearing a suit of armor, and they are spartans. But the butt needs something to hide it.

Nope, The female spartan 2s are a tad smaller than males but still insanely strong and have bigger biceps than well toned human soldiers, but they are still very feminine, apart from their height. Also the latest strand of MJONIR armor fits around the users shape, as explained in Glasslands, as a posse to older generations of MJOLNIR that made them all look like cyborgs.

Females will defiantly look much more feminine in Halo 4, but I don’t think there -Yoinks!- will look as big as they did in Halo Reach. But I understand why they did it, the more you train your muscles the bigger they get, so if your an athlete and a fast one, then you’ll have a bigger -Yoink- than most people and for girls it applies more because they have bigger hips than guys.

But apart from that, I think that females will be noticeably be feminine, but I don’t think their chest will be so pronounced, if you know what I mean and their butts may get toned down a little. But over all their bodies will be slimmer but still retain that athletic posture.

Allot like this.

I think the female models should look just a little more feminine then the male models so that you can at least tell and the game looks a little more worked on. In Halo3 sure it was for canon but it also made the game look like it had slightly less effort in to it then it should have.

The one thing that bugs me is that in first person the armor isn’t different for the female character model. If you go in game and look carefully, you can see the gauntlets differ in looks for the male and female model, but in first person they always look like the male’s gauntlets.

I speak on behalf of my girlfriend who I play Halo with.

Reach hit it perfectly. Cannon or not, you can’t tell me augmentations would make females Spartans look exactly like a male. We don’t need a luscious booty like in Reach, but more curves for females is definitely welcome, and necessary, for me.

And yes, this is perfect.

As a girl gamer I totally agree.

There is no legitimate reason why they should look any different.

nope, wrong. the crotch area was slightly different. but that’s all.

but i agree, they need to make it more feminine. maybe put ahem female-parts.

…Because…?
