lol what does ANY of this mean
Don’t play with that fire. Just don’t.
Not at all. Same system as the attachments, designed from the ground up for that modularity.
It’s there. Just largely covered by armor.

How am I playing with fire? You are privileged to have a body type you feel represented by. Not all of us are that lucky. The least you could do is let those of us who don’t feel represented voice our concerns without telling us why we can’t have representation. That’s not polite. Let people who don’t feel represented voice their concerns.
Microsoft are usually pretty good with inclusivity.
They did fantastic work with the adaptive controller so that players with serious mobility issues can enjoy gaming.
Forza Horizon 5 allowed players to pick their body type, voice type and pronouns all independent of each other and included prosthetic limb options.
Then you have Halo Infinite which does have prosthetic limb options but doesn’t really have anything beyond that, yes you do get a few voice options although they aren’t particularly diverse and the 3 body types are virtually identical. I get to some degree that given the augmentations Spartans receive and with all of that armour you might not see much difference in body type.
Do 343 have other things to work on? Absolutely they do, but I agree that it would be nice to have a bit more choice in terms of customisation, both because I like customisation and because it’s surely got to allow more players to feel represented by their character.
No it isn’t. The only option that exists is “170lb masculine spartan, to a thicker 220lb masculine spartan”. The entire body is otherwise nearly unchanged. Its a clear issue when real people are losing the ability to identify with their avatar, that they used to… when there was a clear “make this model famine” option.
And that shouldn’t just be ignored. Otherwise you are just saying “just deal with having a dude bod ladies!” Which isn’t a great message to be spreading. Shutting up people that have concerns about representation… and telling them just to “use your imagination, its there if you believe” is incredibly tone deaf.
The work should be done if it makes people more comfortable and more comfortably relate to their avatar. That is far more important then what color or what attachments exist.
sigh it’s really clear that there isn’t anything to be gained from discussing this further.
It demonstrably is not a dude bod. I don’t need to fight on this forum to show that though right now, just gonna’ get back to art instead.
This is just 100% false. Go look at past representations of Female and male Spartans. Then ask yourself: “Does the new option capture both equally? If not what one does it capture more?”
I literally told you, my wife DOES NOT LIKE and can no relate to the new spartan… it does not capture her representation as well as past games. No amount of you hand waiving that is going to change the facts.
I mean ask yourself this, what would you do to the model to make it more masculine? What would you do to make it more feminine?
There is objectively no other way to answer: Is the model more masculine or feminine? Then saying masculine.
You aren’t fighting to say it’s not a dude bod. You’re telling people why they shouldn’t be represented. I’m not telling you it’s a dude bod. I even made a post talking about how we shouldn’t say there’s no female option. But regardless of what you call it, not everyone feels represented. And you don’t seem to be okay with those people voicing their concerns. It’s seems really rude of you, someone who has said they feel represented, to try and silence others who also want representation.
Don’t gaslight me and put words in my mouth lol.
People are just asking for more feminine body types right?
If cat armour is ok then I don’t have a problem with a broader range of body types to allow for more customisation and for more people to feel represented
You can read my posts. I literally said what I said I did. And you keep trying to justify why I can’t have representation. You keep saying why it’s okay. And you have said you feel represented. If I remember correctly you said you felt represented by Type 2. Well I don’t feel represented by any of the body types. Is it not okay for me to ask for representation? Is it not okay for other people who don’t feel represented to ask for representation? Is it not okay for people who know them to speak on their behalf? Why do you come in here and try to shut down the discussion?
Leia you honestly ask too many questions to answer.
Like it used to be, I started to play halo just cause of it (other games in that time for me weren’t that exclusief with customizing (parts)
Then stop trolling the OP, and move on. You are bringing nothing of value to this other then marginalizing concerns about representation.
We get it, you just want to make excuses about how they shouldn’t put the work in. We are arguing that they SHOULD.
Can I just ask then, that you let people voice their concerns about a lack of representation without telling them why they can’t have it? That’s all I really want. I know some people do it in a way that’s not polite. I know some people have belittled you and blamed this on “wokeness” or non-binary people. And I don’t agree with that. I don’t want them doing that either. But some people just honestly want to feel represented, and they should be allowed to voice that.
Yeah women! but also men fighting for our lovely women (who also wants to play with a women appearance like men can with the man appearance) 343 is this so hard to do?
And you know that all why? You work in these area? cause i do and most of your claims are simply not accurate.
All the available body types look male to me, so the confusion is understandable.
I think a large part of it is the armor itself doesn’t change, and the undersuit isn’t that visible. Even if they added more body types, if they don’t change the armor positioning I doubt people would notice.
went from “games only have men” to “games have men and women” to “games have 4 variations of man” really quick. New World has done the same thing, everyone looks like a man
