Any other opinions on this remake?
Love it. Everything is absolutely beautiful, just like Halo should be.
You can really tell the difference between the sound and the scenery and I love every aspect of it. (Although the grunt funeral skull gets a little hectic in those tight corners.).
The pistol feels like a rocket launcher.
The sniper sounds like a nuclear missile.
This game is HAWT.

I was hoping someone would have started a topic like this when I popped on. For one I’ve been having a ridiculous marathon session over the last 24 hours playing this campaign on Heroic solo. Every once in a while I get this Halo nerd chill playing; it’s so nostalgic and awesome. I feel the way I felt when I first played it. The aliens and world was so, well, for lack of a better term alien. Halo was so unique and I swear the game was made just for people like me. When it comes down to it Halo 1 is and always has been fun. The new visuals and remastered audio give it a thrilling breath of fresh air. The firefights you can get in with the Covenant and Flood can be nuts and thrilling. What a beautiful game. It isn’t the second coming, but it’s everything I thought it would be; a love note to fans through the game that started it all. Halo CE certainly started my (healthy mind you) obssession with the franchise. With all the lore and deep universe it’s cool to go back and revisit this chapter. By the way the new Terminals are awesome and a complete geekfest for the lore enthusiasts. Cheers 343i, and Bungie who started the first 10 great years of Halo.
I completely agree. This game feels exactly like it did ten years ago. I was only able to play Pillar today, but it was the same that I remember. I can’t wait to play through the rest of my favorite FPS campaign of all time.

I would have a child with it and call it Halo 2.
