Along with the weapon tuning came different map settings in many playlists. Many power weapons that initially spawned have been replaced with sniper rifles. Oversheild has been added etc. This poll is in response to the new map variants and weapon spawns. This poll is NOT in response to the weapon tuning.

has ruined the game in my opinion far too many power wepons now and the forge maps suck they look like something you would by in flat pack from Ikea and build.
I only played a few games of the tu and was not impressed i had a go on big team at a few maps when i say a few i mean setteler 3 times in a row and then vortex which now seems to have everything flippin vehicle in the game on it.
All in all this is exactly what happend to Reach the game when releaised was very good same as halo 4 but then they started messing arround with the playlists and it ended up ruining the game and i stopped playing it all together, this is happening to halo 4 aswell this has made me get rid of halo 4 now to go on and play cod instead which i have never really played before i will not be getting halo 5 either 343 are useless in my opinion and whoever decided to put in slayer pro i really hope they were fired.

I agree about everything except Pro, which is the only remotely enjoyable and sane gametype in slayer. The disgustingly fast weapon and vehicle spawn times and abundance coupled with personal ordinance makes infinity unbearable. I will say thanks to the dozen or so vehicles that BTB pro is unplayable too now.
i think they should change it so that if an enemy is near the spawn site you should spawn immediately behind him. it would make sense if you were being delivered there, rather than to just pop up in one direction like an idiot.
it would also discourage spawncamping. yes it does happen
Back in my day the Scorpion wasn’t an endangered species, it was thriving and killing and inhabited a variety of habitats. Now it is close to death and I don’t think it’ll be the last.
I prefer the old settings for the most part. I do like that they have an Overshield that spawns occasionally. I just hate that power weapons/vehicle spawn again before the first one is even gone.
I am fine with everything, as it really added new energy into the game. The SAW on the other hand, when shot with with short controlled bursts, is way too overpowered. With damage boost it’s just hilarious.
vehicle spawns - meh, never really liked vehicles, i try not to play maps with them. Did notice that in meltdown flag the warthogs in the base seemed to spawn almost immediately after they were moved away from their spawn.
weapon spawns on map - great for the game, makes it so all the people who think camping in their spawn all game (adrift) allows them to win. Weapons on set drops and timers promote map movement, and can help lead to taking map control.
-all the power weapons on the map are good, since after the weapon tuning update the kill times are so much faster, power weapons lose much of their dominance. (only thing that is messed up is having a fuel rod on solace, thing gets way too much ammo)
New map choices - really noticed this in flag. absolutely horrid move, it seems like complex, exile, settler, and meltdown come up more often than anything else. Horrible maps, especially for a 5v5. It makes for the most boring gameplay possible.
343 needs to put obj in BTB, so then regular flag and objective could go back to being 4v4 (5v5 wouldnt be too bad. Seriously, 6v6 obj is a joke, and 5v5 flag should not be played on half of the maps in the playlist.
I like the new weapon/vehicle placements (especially the static weapon spawns), but despise the insanely frequent respawn rate.

I definitely prefer the old settings. I liked how each map had different weapon spawns. It was a refreshing and welcomed change. Incin and sword on solace, sticky and scatter on adrift and haven, etc. It seems a bit odd now to have snipers spawning so much on all the maps. I’d prefer the old weapon spawns but if they must put snipers on all the maps than i guess I can live with that.
But what really gets to me is the insanely fast respawn time. I’ve said this in other posts, but it seems like they’re just handing out sniper rifles as a participation trophy. I feel the same about the oversheild. It’s great that it encourages people to leave their campsites on adrift, but It feels like every minute someone else has an OS. Especially when coupled with personal ordinance. There was a reason you couldn’t have power weapons in your loadoats… And initially, I don’t think that reason was, “Because there’s already enough to go around spawning on the map.” THough now it seems to be the case. I thought it was getting out of hand with just personal ordinances, but things can quickly start to feel like action sack at times with the fast respawn speed.
As for adrift, I think the only thing that needed to get changed was the location of the map ordinance weapons/nade spawns. Just move them inside away from the bases. This would help move campers. Oversheild is ok but maybe 2 or 3spanws for each game tops.
Abandon doesn’t feel like a great map to use Snipers all over the place.
Solace and the fuel rod doesn’t feel that appropriate.
I think they put the concussion rifle on haven to try and force people to use it because otherwise no one would.
I appreciate that 343 is listening to the community and trying to change things. The addition of snipers, swat, multiteam (even though I prefer 4 teams of 3), new maps in slayer playlists, etc. so hopefully they’ll continue to listen and adjust accordingly. I have never been so upset playing any halo game. Everyone has a power weapon because they respawn so fast. Maps like Ragnarok have a vehicle to kill the vehicle killing you for everything. There is no more skill to it. Kids were quitting out in nearly every game I played, not that I have proof that is because of the update, but I’ve never seen it like this before the update. If a teammate does quit early you pretty much lost because the other team is going to load up with weapon drops, ordnance drops, and what feels like instant overshield to overpower your outnumbered team. In my opinion, Adrift was the best map in the game. Perfect for CTF…and they just butchered it. Completely. I do not want to have to buy CoD to get my first person shooter fix, but if the gameplay is going to be like this I might have to. Halo is my favorite game and I would like it stay that way.
Big Team Battle is my favorite playlist and is becoming harder to like. Take the map Vortex for example: It had a wraith, regular warthogs, a rocket hog, ghosts, and mongooses. Now it has a mantis for both teams, Guass warthogs, no rocket hog, a banshee, and ghosts and mongooses. It is impossible to play on with so many heavy vehicles on the map it’s unbearable. Everything was fine and peachy before the update to the maps.
Now I am not the kind of person who likes change but this is too much. (just wanted to put that out there)
Weapon tuning is fine, the only problem I see is I am being killed by assault rifles much more often which is getting annoying. It feels like I am running into someone with a saw every time.
