Feeling NOSTALGIC? The Glory Days

True Halo Fans Will Remember…

this was my childhood gone for ever…

The excitement at 3:49. Just for launching a warthog on top of Foundation. Why? BECAUSE YOU COULD. Halo 2. Back when you had an entire friends list (100 people) who all played that one game. You could join any lobby you wanted and always find something to do whether it be shenanigans like this, glitching, competitive play, or just some good old customs. Games like that don’t come around anymore, and they never will. RIP Halo 2. You were the best online game I’ve ever played.

i have the same feeling about battlefront RIP

I feel like a nerd saying this but…I’ve never had so much fun doing something…(other than -Yoink!-)

I loved H2. It was easily one of my favorite, if not my absolute favorite, MP game of all time.

More games will come, though. Don’t think H2 was the only game of its kind and will only ever be the only game of its kind.

Halo 2 was the best, but I still liked Reach, ODST and Wars.

I want to believe you man I really do but just like anything else Video Games are a market. Companies begin to sell out and produce products for the general public. All these MMO video games are turning into the same thing. Back then developers had to be original in what they were making now, every game has notable elements of every other game. just look at reach, gow3, they all steal ideas from cod because that game sells the most. Its sad

I hate to break it to you, but every game in the last 2 decades has had borrowed, or “stolen,” ideas. Yes, even Halo 2. I know a lot of games are seeming regurgitated and shallow, but the market won’t encourage this forever. You still get games like Portal 2 or Borderlands come out that actually feel original. If borrowing ideas makes a game bad for you, though, there’s very few games in the universe that would meet your criteria for a good game.

I understand what you’re saying. I’m just trying to state that the video game market won’t encourage this “age of sequels” forever. I just think you’re taking issue with the wrong thing is all.

Well sure, if you want to. I just think there was a little hypocrisy in your OP. Wasn’t trying to be a d-bag, but apparently you want to go there. :S

Sorry if I came off like that man, I’m agreeing with you.

Heh, I’d love an H2 HD remake. I’m very doubtful of the possibility, though. If only…

The Land Before Time song in that video was more nostalgic. Heh…

Hear, hear. Halo 2 forever!

EDIT: Wow, The Land Before Time Music! Genius!
