it’s called a free game that has probably a constant influx of new players who don’t read reviews and are all in for the halo title as more reviews get out and more people talk about it that will slowly fade.
Totally agree on this. The warthog is pretty much a sitting duck in BTB. I have a million things to do in real life, so it took me a couple of weeks before I got a chance to have a BTB run. I noticed that a lot of players didn’t bother with the warthog, they would run right past it. I thought great, this is mine. Then, EMP, almost instant destruction. This happened a few times. I have had some pretty spectacular runs with the warthog in 5. One game in Urban, I had a player stay with me the whole game after I req’d out an ONI warthog. We got one of the knights and both Warden Eternals. I had 70 assists when we finished. Now that’s a warthog ! And they handle like a high performance off-road vehicle. I found the warthog in Infinite really ‘floaty’ in comparison.

This game is just the latest causality in the industry. Its amazing that these companies are continuing these shady, scheming tactics even as their whole house is burning down all around them. Like many of you, I’m starting to wonder if I should even bother anymore.
Am I being too dramatic? I don’t think so. Look back at what happened back in the early 80’'s. It could easily happen again with this trend of B.S.
ALL they are concerned with is $$$$$$ and the most efficient way to extract it…
And it’s no wonder that so many are defending it because is so f**king commonplace these days. It’s to be expected ffs. I find it all incredibly annoying as I’ve been an avid gamer for 30+ years

Toxic fandom is a real thing.
It’s a great game. Look, I’d love co-op campaign some day too, but seriously, it’s a blast to play. People want to hate on it because they want more armor or whatnot, but that’s just minor to me. The point is the core gameplay is terrific. And yes, I feel like 343 is getting crapped on by toxic fans.
We still got a -Yoink!- half-complete game though like where’s forge???

We should be happy it released this year considering the current state of the world with all the delays…
