They are going to get rekt by Fireteam Osiris.

I feel sorry for Fireteam Osiris, they’re a new team and they’re about to go up against one of the most established and formidable teams in the history of the Spartan project
This will be like the patriots (Blue team) against the Jacksonville jaguars
I’m actually surprised they didn’t give the women more noteworthy backstories. Both Locke and Buck seem to be quite experience.
Yeah you’re right. A team thrown together will beat a team who grew up together and when they fight together they all basically become one and are practically unstoppable. They’ve slaughtered thousands of covenant. Yep blue team is sure in trouble alright.

Well, Olympia is one of the main characters of Hunters in the Dark, so she gets a 400-page novel for herself. I don’t think that’s too bad. It’s more than Buck, who got a game and a 200-page buck (Hehe) where a good third of that is a recap of the game he was in. Tanaka has had an entire Escalation story arc dedicated to her and presumably more appearances in upcoming Escalation issues, so I don’t think it’s too bad.
But when both characters have been introduced mere months ahead of release, I’d say that’s pretty good work for making a backstory. Certainly better than the entirety of Noble Team put together.

Yet when the leader of the other team is seeing hallucinations of his computer girlfriend, unit cohesion may not be very effective in a pinch.
I feel sorry for all the people who think either team is going to wreck each other.

his visions are pretty much guaranteed to be connected to his geas IMO, they will probably be vital to the mission blue team has to undertake.
Spartan II’s are closely approaching 60yrs old of age. Now I wonder how Spartans actually age especially after augmenting. Do they suffer from the same ailments humans suffer from during old age? Are they even humans in terms of physical changes of the body?

I see hallucinations every day and it doesn’t effect my moderating. Right? Nope. See? We told you so.

Ha, why does everyone always call John and Cortana lovers or whatever. I mean, they only spent years together out in the fields, with Cortana saving his life a few times, and John vice versa. John is Cortana’s handler, he’s supposed to protect her. Am I missing something here?

realistically they are closer to 40. cryo and all that
It’s tough. I love John and Blue team but I love Buck. I hope everyone ends up alive in the end and works their problems out. Why can’t we all just put the BRs down and hug it out?!

-.-
theyre physically around 30 years old. The amount of time they each spent in cyro-sleep. Especially John. They’re mentally 60 I guess if you want to call it that, but they’re not anywhere close to that age yet. Blue Team is still top notch

This is kind of unfair to bring up considering how little we know about the Cortana ghost. Then again, we don’t know very much about Locke’s team either. But still, this isn’t a fair point.
Op…the bridge is back there. Return under it.

Isn’t Olimpia’s role in HitD purely as a liaison? Likewise Tanaka’s arc, while showing her to be a good character, doesn’t really scream “this person can take on blue team”.
All of buck’s coverage has been about how great a soldier he is, well that and Dare. While Locke hasn’t had a whole lot of focused media outside of nightfall (which was terrible), generally he’s been hyped up as a rival of sorts to chief.

Because people are silly, and I-Halsey-I is just being facetious…though I think it’s a bit early to claim these “visions” the Chief will see will be frequent or if they will seriously effect his ability to lead the team. Moreover, based on what we know about Blue Team, if the Chief was showing signs of being legitimately unstable it would be very OOC for them to just go along with it.
Personally I’m in the camp that we’re probably not going to get a full-scale fight between both teams anyway - and that in the end they’ll probably end up working together. A-la Chief and Arbiter in ‘Halo 2’.
