Make the sniper easier to use (i.e reduce cooldown period between shots, make the descope less harsh) - what’s the purpose of a power weapon if doesn’t overpower the other weapons
Make descope occur when 3 bullets hit you as apposed to just 1 bullet
Remove sniper recoil
Add a zoom animation for the sniper and make the scoped HUD more visible
BR is too easy, 4 shot every single time. Reduce the bullet magnetism
Make it possible to slide cancel
10 sensitivity is too low, in the original Bungie games it was 2x faster
Allow stretched resolutions 4:3 ratio
Clamber animation feels clunky
Gun reticles are too small

I find the sniper works really well without scoping in, provided you can hit your shots. but maybe I am hardwired to not scope with snipers after playing quake for so long. I dont see why the 2-3 bullet descope would be a bad idea though. snipers without recoil are extremely powerful so I dont think that would be the best idea. as for reticles, adjusting the size would be a nice option but if anything I would want them to be smaller. just my 2c

i think the sniper works how it should. AS A SNIPER. if you had it really easy to use at anything but long range it would be overly strong.
Bare in mind that we have only really when they opened up the Behemoth map ( a large map) it was dominant.

If you recall previous games they sometimes where decided by the sniper rifle. but i dont think that should be the case all the time, especially on smaller maps.

Personally i didnt notice clunky clamber animation.

Customizable gun reticles might be nice but dont know how easy that would be to implement this late into development.

Try zooming into someone’s head with the sniper from 30m away then unscope the sniper and try noscope him, it will not register 100% of the time because of the bullet spread. Sniping while unscoped is inconsistent, and ideally for competitivity it should be as consistent as possible. I also agree the sniper shouldn’t be too overpowered but it should be powerful enough in the sense that it’s a power weapon, I think Halo 2 is the best at balancing this and H2 has no bullet spread. In that game the only reason you’d miss your shot is because you weren’t good enough.

Man if a bot shoots a singular AR bullet from across the map it instantly descopes my sniper and that never happens in older Halo games. The aim assist should definitely be bumped up on a few of the weapons too, aside from the BR.

Honestly the reticle size is personal preference, in OG Halo games the BR reticle is quite a bit larger so that’s what I’m used to.

I agree it shouldn’t be too overpowered but it’s meant to be a power weapon for a reason. Making it a stronger weapon will just incentivize strategy, putting greater emphasis on map control and punishes the enemy harder for their mistakes. That which incentivizes strategy express a higher skill gap and that’s a fact.
