Feedback/wishlist for changes

So I’ve thought of some major changes that of course would never see the light of day, but you never know. The main drive for these changes is to bring back playing the game for the sake of playing the game and not grinding out the latest challenge. It’s what ruined reach and mcc for me.

So to the changes.

  1. Every win = 1 tier on the battle pass. Every lose = 1/2 a tier on the battle pass. This means the player has to play a minimum of 200 games to complete the battle pass.
  2. Get rid of challenges althogether, apart from events such as the current fracture one. And then only have challenges that hardly affect gameplay, such as play x amount of matches, throw x amount of grenades, get x amount of kills, etc. Maybe even have a free event specific customisation piece that you’ll have to have equipped, like a charm or emblem, something not too big.
  3. Get rid of the shop. Yes yes I know that’s how you make your money, but it sucks holding things behind a paywall. If you must have a shop, then only have items that are earnable ingame but are purchasable now. So for eg, the items in that are in the event, if you missed out on earning them in the event, you can buy them in the shop afterwards. Have it in a bundle that minuses what you’ve already earned for a cheaper price.
  4. Battle pass items need to only be cosmetics. With the above mentioned challenges gone and how to level up the battle pass, challenge swap and xp boosts are no longer needed, and can be replaced with actual customisation parts. The premium track of the battle pass should have the current season’s themed items. For eg, the current season is reach based, so the free track just has the standard customisation items that was available in reach, while the premium track has the items to make you look like any member of noble team, and other new stuff.
  5. Every customisation part should be usable with every other customistion part. None of this locked to cores thing. Colours included.
  6. I’m sure it’s been worked on, but I want to be able to select which gametype I want to play rather than leaving it to the rng gods. I want to play swat, let me select swat. I want to play slayer, let me select slayer. And so on.
  7. Bring back assassinations. If players want to turn them off, let them do so, but don’t ruin the fun for the rest of us.
  8. I really doubt this one’s possible if I’m honest but being able to customise your ui with placement, size, colour, etc would be cool. I’d probably move the weapons to the top right, keep the grenades and equipment on the lower right, and make things a little bigger. Probably give different colours for them too.

That’s all I can think of at the moment, but these changes are big enough already. Like I said, doubtful they’d get implemented, but I have to voice my concerns and suggestions.

Yeah, cores are so restrictive when it comes to customization, there is especially no excuse for coatings & visors to be locked behind certain cores.

I would say rather than a win being a tier I think granting xp based on performance like in MCC would be better. I would be ok with challenges staying if they improve what sort of challenges there are. I get they cant practically remove the shop because they wouldnt have the funds to keep the game going but maybe have an in game way of earning credits.

After playing the first level and a half and reading about the restrictions on campaign, I have a couple of ideas that could fix the major FOMO this game is giving me.
Add to the campaign menu 2 more options, greyed out until the player has completed the game once.

Option 1 - Collectables mode. no story, no missions, access to every part of the campaign reguardless of where in the story it is, pure open world, specifially only for gathering the collectables. Enemies of course still roaming around at whatever difficulty you set, but zero restrictions on locations. Also the collectables will be marked as collected but won’t dissappear, so you can ‘recollect’ them over and over.

Option 2 - Story mode. Only the story missions, no free roam, in the order intended, with selectable cutscenes. Similar to how it’s done in hitman. No level of difficulty set, just a few enemies to help keep things ‘alive’, but this is just for the story.

With just these 2 options added you won’t be missing out on anything that you may of missed on the first playthrough, and can replay as much as you want.
