Feedback: Vehicle Controller Sensitivity in Accessibility

In MCC, mouse and keyboard players have a slight upper hand in vehicles compared to gamepads. With flying vehicles, their aim is almost instant, so a sensitivity slider would help gamepad users who want to lose that control for the sake of a faster aim on par with mouse users.

Most of all, the Steam controller very much suffers from this sensitivity drop. The recent Halo Waypoint update doesn’t support video links, but I made a video showcasing it titled “MCC Feedback: Why Controllers need Vehicle Sensitivity Customization”
It’s my preferred controller, but it’s almost impossible to use a vehicle with it. Especially larger vehicles like tanks or wraiths, which should be some of the easier vehicles to master. When split-screen is added I have four steam controllers, so I really don’t want my friends to feel as if they’re not allowed to use vehicles. Especially in the campaign. The end of Halo 4’s Forerunner level is incredibly difficult when I turn at such an incredibly slow rate.

Allowing the left stick to control turrets, implementing Halo Infinite’s Assist Steering, or allowing players to change their vehicle thumbstick options separate from their first person options (using Legacy for vehicles with Modern for first person gameplay) would be fine temporary fixes that might help this issue, but not resolve the issue altogether.

I feel near useless in warthogs compared to friends using keyboards because of this.
I always have to drive to be effective

Infinite suffers from the same problem as well

it’s weird, because the driving tends to feel cleaner on controller, but the aiming and shooting feels cleaner on mouse and keyboard (aside from the scorpion, which feels weird to shoot on M+Kb)

If you go into your settings you can disable being matched against PC users. I did this last month and have had a much more enjoyable experience. Keyboard/mouse users have an advantage in general and we console users should only be matched against ourselves. I strongly recommend doing the same.

its because when they released reach on PC the PC community screamed and cried over vehicles being unusable (they would drag their mouse to try to turn faster not realizing there was a vehicle sensitivity cap and run out of room causing them to get owned by a controller player) so instead of implementing a proper KM system like in classic Halo CE or Halo 2v they DISABLED vehicle turn restrictions for KM users and let them do what ever they wanted.

THIS is exactly why you see people who are trash at core halo farm banshees to scrape the ground for kills while they hold down boost and 180 allover the place, or why you see wraiths 360 turn to splatter boarders and ghost having STUPID maneuverability while boosting (was never originally intended)

I brought this up many many times just to be mass reported so gl kid, 343 gave MCC to PC degenerates on a golden platter despite all of their advantages.
