I think the specific threads that are supposed to be for feedback are broken or non-existent, so I’m giving my feedback here. I know most Insiders don’t care to read about any other player’s feedback but I’m also wondering if some things that I’ve seen on my end happen to any of you, so replies would be appreciated.
- Bot Slayer Difficulty: The regular Bot Slayer matches that I played on Friday were surprisingly easy. All of the matches were won with a Steaktacular, and despite the bots sometimes having incredible accuracy (especially with grenades) it never really felt like a challenge. The ODST Bots, though. These ones are starting to feel more like a challenge. I’ve been no-scoped by a bot with a sniper while I was shooting at it. They are more active and they don’t stand still as often as the other bots did. I am eager to see the Spartan Difficulty bots, so far I have never gone negative or lost a match, even against the ODST Bots. - Live Fire (Map) Review: I like this map, it is small and has a tiny bit of verticality to it that ensures that you can’t find a comfortable spot to camp. The available weapons and equipment is well balanced and placed in the map, if anything it feels that most of the actions ends up focusing indoors, with actions around the Brutes/Yard area only flourishing when teams are fighting for camo/overshield. So far I’ve enjoyed this map more than Recharge. - Recharge (Map) Review: I’ve loved finally being able to use the Grappling Hook (using it to bring up the overshield to me, which gave me the upper hand in a 2v1 situation immediately after) and this map is a tad bigger and with more verticality. It feels more like Halo, the only reason why I haven’t enjoyed my matches as much in that map (even though I managed a Perfection for the first time in it), is because of the performance issues on Xbox One S. - Console Performance: I’ve been playing most of the flight in my Xbox One S. It runs quite smoothly but something feels off. Sometimes the game’s reaction to my input is delayed or completely nonexistent. - Clamber: I still have to play with the settings and try the manual clamber, because the automatic clamber sometimes completely fails. I’ve fallen down to my death a couple times and missed a power up other times because sometimes the Spartan doesn’t want to clamber up. Not too big of a deal though. - Bulldog Shotgun: It needs a boost in damage or range. It feels very weak, even compared to Halo 3’s shotgun, which I consider the weakest in the franchise. I haven’t killed an enemy in a single shot with it yet. - Ghost Melee: It has happened a few times per match, it was a big deal for me in Halo 5, I’m hoping it will get completely fixed by the game’s actual launch. - Heatwave: I love the alternate fire modes, but it also feels kind of weak. Maybe it’s more of a special situation weapon, I can definitely see people pulling trickshots with the weapon’s ricochet. - Skewer: For being a single shot weapon, I find it kind of weak. It is a precision weapon, and I think it’s a one shot kill on any part of the body, but having to reload after every single shot seems pretty weak. Even power weapons like the Rocket Launcher still get two shots per serving. The Binary Rifle got two shots as well, the sniper has 4, etc. - S7 Sniper: Something feels wrong with it. The shooting feels off, sometimes it shoots fairly quickly, other times it is unresponsive to my pressing the trigger. It also feels like the sights don’t really align with where the weapon is shooting. I’ve decided not to touch the S7 again, I am bad enough with precision weapons but this is strange. - Commando: I think it’s a good, balanced weapon and useful for any combat encounter. I suck with it for no reason at all. I don’t understand why but I can’t seem to kill anyone with it. The recoil is insance and I would tone it down a bit. - Needler: It is very strong. I like that it’s finally a reasonably usable weapon. At times the needle tracking is a bit inconsistent. I’ve also had issues of getting supercombined even after taking cover, as if it was delayed for a bit.That’s as much as I can give for now, but I might add more after the new Bot AI update. What are your thoughts?
