the forums are a great place for Players to voice their opinion and make requests for changes.
However, said requests often gets drowned by constructive feedback and sadly, a larger number of less-than constructive ones.
To make it easier for Players to request features, modes etc., and for the Developers to actually find these requests, I’d like to formally request a new page to be added to either the forums, or the Halo Waypoint website in the community tab as a separate entity to the Forums.
What would this page do and how would it be any different from the Forums?
The initial experience will be very similar to that of the Forums, you would go to this page, you would search for a Topic and if you didn’t find one that matches your Request you would press a button that said ‘‘Open Draft’’.
In this new window that has popped up, you would add a title that would summarize what you’re requesting to be added, then you would choose for a large number of tags that would make it easier for Players and the Developers to find your request.
e.g. If you’re requesting a new customization menu alternative for Halo Infinite you would tag it with something like ‘‘Customization, Menu, Halo Infinite’’
Then you would have a spot for a body of text that you can use to further describe the Feature you’re requesting.
Players would then be able to +1 or -1 this Feature, and depending on the ratio of these votes it would appear more frequently or less frequently during searches, and it would move up the Feature Request list, the more +1 you have, the higher presumed priority it has for Players,
and thus would appear further up in the list so the Developers can just go to this page and instantly know what the top requested features are without having to go through a sea of posts on the Forums that might just be general Feedback or conversations that aren’t relevant at that particular time.
I realize this is similar to the Forums and how it works, but I think it would be valuable to have a section dedicated entirely to Requests by Players.
