Feedback, remove kill effects

I don’t even know how a lot of things for this game were even approved. The quality of Halo has really gone down hill.

Hell, the sound effect and visual effects in this game is vary poor quality. I tried playing a couple of BTB last night after 5 months of not playing, and I couldn’t stand playing more then 3 games that I had to shut it off.

Infinite needs a major overhaul.

Edit: The truth behind all of this is that 343 doesn’t care about quality work that it literally shows throughout the entire game. That is a fact that not even 343 ore 343’s fan base can hide. Now when I say 343 I’m referring to the higher-ups, and this goes all the way to the top Microsoft.

That’s the huge difference between the original Bungie that were gamers that actually cared about the work they produced. Todays “Halo” is ran by people that look at the player base as a number, not as a customer. That alone is a major problem with infinite and until that is worked out to were it benefits the player base, nothing will really change that will improve things for the player base…

A toggle for all VXF would be great, just like For Honor.

Wish there was a toggle, as time goes by it’s gonna end up looking like a circus,

Even if effect is there, the sounds are too much with everything else going on

Annoying and dumb. Let me disable them.

Nah, I think it’s better this way. However, all of the old effects from Reach should definitely make an appearance in Infinite.

But as far as OP: if 343 wants to add yet another toggle I say go for it. But leave the system in tact for those of us who dig it.

When I played BTB last night there were several players with the wolf call, it got pretty annoying hearing it proc so much.

People with your aggressive attitude make me want to stop playing Halo entirely.

What you really mean is a toggle to turn the entire game into Halo2/3.

How many toggles do you all want? Go play something else if you really need more toggles for small things like this.

Because telling people to leave and play something else over their opinions is a great strategy for maintaining interest and population!

Well those were the 2 most popular Halo games ever so people must want them for a reason.

Agree. TOGGLE KILL EFFECTS PLEASE! Just like 343 has a Toggle for Visual Effects because some people are harmed by flashing imagery or are just annoyed.

P.S. We already have to deal with player gloating after a kill (e.g. humping/teabagging/overkilling dead body). Now we have to suffer stupid flashing graphics and noise? If the player wants to see/hear everytime, fine. But don’t force it on others.

i agree that you should be able to toggle, though id like to see a option to set the kill effect to headshots like the grunt birthday party skull

The difference is mcc didn’t do it because of immersion

I can agree that some of the sounds are really “off” when it comes to the experience and being in the zone while hearing some goofy sfx can throw you off. I believe a toggle for this option would be an amazing idea. Same with walking effects./trails.

Oh my god yes. I can’t tell you how much I hate seeing those stupid running/step effects. They’re just so stupid and pointless other than to SELL DIGITAL GOODS.

Since some of these effects had to be purchased to obtain. Allowing a toggle to disabled would undermine the value of the item. So they’ll probably not give an option to toggle it because of that.

They may still alter it if enough complain though. Maybe adjust the pitch perhaps?

A toggle option needs to happen asap. It’s bs that slme random dude from around the world can control how my character ‘dies’ in that much sense. We shouldn’t be forced to endure it.

This being said I also would like a toggle for all non canon customisation. Some of us play Halo for a military scia fi shooter, not a Fortnite clone.

I think they’re cool. Goofy effects have been with us since Reach which came out 12 years ago

People are used to it. Leave it

Except the ones in Reach were not as garish. A quick little confetti pop or floating hearts in a tiny space is much less invasive than a giant green power rangers wolf popping up on your screen and a howling sound.
Plus as mentioned, it’s letting someone else control your player per se, while the Reach effects were chosen by the player they actually affected.

under audio you can turn off hit markers and death effects (sound) must be a new thing, I don’t recall seeing it in season 1
